Sunset from the Pier Head in Liverpool

I know these kinds of shots have probably become cliche, but i have always been fascinated by the wonderful colors in the sky during the sunset and also with the clouds. I took this after ditching my biochem class lol!

ended up at Bowling today instead of where i planned to go but im glad i stopped to catch this sunset

Sunset over Stevenage is not quite as romantic as say SFO, no bridge or pointy building to frame it against. However, after a very grey day it was nice to see the sun if only dipping below the chimney pots & tv ariels.

Sometimes I get reminded why I chose to live in the middle of nowhere.

Just a beautiful sunset after dinner nearby my weekend house at Ostrach.

Captured with my Fuji X100's, this picture is sooc.

The photo can not tell the immense strength of the wind I was facing. The useless tripod kept falling against me and I could not even walk or keep the eyes open.

I set behind a small bunch of rocks and waited for the wind to cease for seconds, got up as fast as I could and shooted as many as I could. Many failures, a few decent shots. I have posted a couple. I was not alone though as the scene and the color of the sky recalled a few brave photographers. The guy in the photo below -met there by chance- is french and I think I have never heard someone cursing in a foreing language as him. The wind was much stronger than his patience.. :D

PS: No post processing! Just a slight crop...

Tramonto dietro Bonifacio

PS: Nessuna elaborazione, solo un leggero taglio!

Sunset Crashers

We visited Shore Acres, near Coos Bay this evening to look at the Christmas light display, but arrived early enough to take in the sunset over the big waves first. I like the many tiny little lights, but this is so much better.

Sunset at Preston Marina

I captured this photograph recently of the Denver skyline at sunset. I was racing against time as the sun was dropping fast over the foothills and could tell by the clouds in the sky the sunset had all the possibilities in the world to be phenomenal! I was racing (carefully) along I-70 east towards DIA when I decided to jump off and look for a tall building. I spotted a nearby hotel and drove to the top of their 5 floor parking garage - this was still not high enough to see above the trees. I quickly ran inside with my gear and spoke to the concierge introducing myself and the situation outside. I asked if there would be any way to go up to the roof or gain access to a suite on the top floor. To my amazement they agreed and I was introduced to Tom, the security for the hotel, whom escorted me and stayed with me for the 30 minutes + to get this one image I felt was the "one".
