Ebenezer Church Recreation Area is my favorite spot at Jordan Lake to catch a sunset, but for some reason, I had not done so since March. While tonight's sunset wasn't that spectacular, it was very calming with no clouds, wind, boats, or waves.
Took this two evenings ago. The sun is now setting far to the south. In a couple of days, the days will slowly get longer and sunset will move to the north. By midsummer, the sun will once again shine into my north-facing home. Yay!!

The last shot that I took as the sun set over Lake Lothing, Lowestoft's inner harbour, that splendid September evening.
The brightness had gone out of the sun as it moved towards the horizon and a pink shade had appeared on it.
We have great sunsets on both banks of the Mersey and tend to ignore them - I liked the way we still had blue sky above the fire in this one...

This is a photograph that I had used as part of a panaramic. The sun had backlit these clouds beautifully and pink rays of light could be seen coming out from the otherwise hidden setting sun.
