Traveling by boat is incredible, but also can be a lot of work. Just a day or two prior to this, we were devising a fix for a malfunctioning windlass (the device that lowers and usually raises the anchor) which emptied 250 feet of chain and a 45 pound anchor without warning into a 2000ft deep bay. After three hours or so of physical and mental exhaustion trying to haul up that hunk of metal, we came up with a work around using the sailing lines, winches, and teamwork that allowed us to move locations and avoid cutting the anchor loose.

Hot, humid weather and a bit of dust in the air makes for fantastic sunsets in Tanzania. The trick is to be in the right place at the right time - that often comes down to luck.
