This was a shot taken from the Long Ridge Trail off of Skyline Blvd. We had an unusually great summer for sunsets due to lots of weather drifting up from the south.

I had posted a shot about a month ago named Long Ridge Finale.

This was the scene earlier from that shoot.

I have built up a nice little stockpile of photos from this summer, and I think I need to post more often than once a week, so here is another from our monsoon summer of 2014.

Another great sunset last night.

Arrived just a little too late but managed this shot of Mither Tap silhouetted against the amazing sky.

The white dot on the summit was a hillwalker probably using a head-torch

Sunset at the Sen. John Heinz Memorial Lookout beside Route 15 southbound, overlooking the borough of Tioga, Pennsylvania. "Tioga" means "the forks of the stream". Shot at 7:14 p.m., local time.

Processing: cropped along the top & bottom into 16 x 9 (HD) format; saturation and light adjusted in Aperture 3 and one spot blackened with the retouch tool

Sunset over the coastal town of St Bees in Cumbria. Another fun long exposure with the X-T1. The sunset itself didn't really transpire as I would hope, but the pre-sunset glow was particularly delightful. Thanks for all your feedback, much appreciated!

Beautiful sunset in Vesilahti, Finland. I scouted this location beforehand and knew that it was going to be a good sunset that day.

It was even better earlier, but managed to catch a bit of the sunset at Crescent Beach last night.

A balmy evening at English Bay - the sun was setting behind a light cloud cover, casting its reflection across the water when my eye caught the "moon" to the right.

Don't ask me what this is .... it's clearly NOT the moon, but it was fun to pretend for this shot!
