Finding Fuji Part 1 - April 2022
From my blog: rangefinderchronicles.blogspot.com/2022/10/finding-fuji-p...
Filled with brown rice, black beans, sweet kernel corn, and mushrooms.
Not a very pretty picture, but this was dinner, so there was no natural lighting to be had.
Behind my desk is a cork board that is overflowing with stuff I have bought and collected. My collection of dog tags, badges from conferences, stickers, passes, and an assortment of random stuff.
put stuff on a stick. throw it on a fire. then eat it.

Tonight I made a pork tenderloin which I butterflied and then stuffed with spinach, roasted red pepper, feta cheese, and garlic. I served it with roasted potatoes and red onion with a basalmic vinegar glaze.
Stuffed cabbage soup for dinner. Yummy! It's basically everything you'd put in stuffed cabbage, except throw it in broth instead of rolling it up.
I was talking about squash flowers the other day and how I wanted to find a vegan recipe for stuffing them - now I did!
Stuffed with a mix of bulgur wheat, navy bean paste, spinach, and carrot and various spices, and then lightly fried. Very nice and compact - a little "Amuse-bouche" before the main course.
Roasted eggplant stuffed with fresh mozzarella and vegetarian Italian sausage, with orecchiette with broccoli rabe, black olives, tomatoes and grated parmigiano-reggiano.
no. really, I couldn't eat another bite. not if you paid me. ooh, are
those moths? mMmm, well, maybe I have room for just one.
Why don't they just leave them up all year, since the PC Police tell us we can't say Christmas anymore. What's the point.

1 - I made this dress -- it's silk, vintage fabric & lace and a teeny mother of pearl button. I really like it. I learned some stuff about tension sewing this.
2 - When I sat down to make this dress I rolled my chair over my big toe & squashed that booger good. :(
3 - had a busy week, painted my oldest boy's room, threw away a bunch of stuff, donated away a bunch of stuff.
4 - Today I took 116 pounds of old electronics to recycling, and I probably have that much more to go but it would not all fit in my jeep.
5 - Husband worked today in Roanoke VA which made me feel jealous and homesicky. If I were in Roanoke I would drive north to Buchanan to see my brother and then south to Dublin to see my dad. And then I'd probably go visit my bestie from high school too. *sigh*
6 - Going to the water park this weekend, WOOT WOOT!
The stuff on my table next to my laptop.
Was trying to get the rainbow reflection on my phone of the light from the kitchen. Didn't work as well as I'd hoped.

Turns out there was a stuffed bear dressed as a beefeater which the tourists love posing with.
When I read about the Tower of London I had it pictured as One Tower. It's not. The Tower of London is a historic castle on the north bank of the River Thames in central London, England. It lies within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, separated from the eastern edge of the City of London by the open space known as Tower Hill. It was founded towards the end of 1066 as part of the Norman Conquest of England.
The White Tower, which gives the entire castle its name, was built by William the Conqueror in 1078, and was a resented symbol of oppression, inflicted upon London by the new ruling elite. The castle was used as a prison since at least 1100, although that was not its primary purpose. A grand palace early in its history, it served as a royal residence.
As a whole, the Tower is a complex of several buildings set within two concentric rings of defensive walls and a moat. There were several phases of expansion, mainly under Kings Richard the Lionheart, Henry III, and Edward I in the 12th and 13th centuries. The general layout established by the late 13th century remains despite later activity on the site.
