Stuffed jalapeños part II. Wrapping them with bacon like the last time was a pain in the ashtabula. So, I browned some sausage with extra spices, cooled it down, and then folded it in with cream cheese and Mexican three cheese blend.

“Bad Ass” Jersey Shore Fightin’ Texas Aggie Ring chopped the tops off of many jalapeños. Then, using his trusty jalapeño knife, he gutted the ribs and seeds insides of them like they gut a pig before a BBQ. Believe me, I’ve been there.

Aggie Ring “stuffed the Hell” of the little jalapeños with the cheese/sausage mixture. He then smoked them over alder wood @ 250 degrees for about an hour. Just long enough to brown the top of the cheese and soften the jalapeños. But, not so much as there wasn’t still a bit of a crunch when you bit into them.

They were most excellent.

A stuffed lobster -- not the kind you'd want to eat -- hangs outside a walkup eatery that also features foot-long hot dogs and grilled sausages. Something for everyone. Near MacMillan Wharf in P'town. (That's Linda in the distance.)

(not) taken for active assignment monthly : Odd man out. I got back from shooting in my local area in realised this fella would fit perfectly with the assignment!

WIT : riding my moped round my local area looking for something interesting to shoot. A bit of tweaking the colours to bit them back from the dead.

Another vintage stuffed pup from the 1980s. This one had a few holes, mostly where the vinyl *feet* had come loose from the plush. But I restitched that and a few other places. He also had apparently had been chewed on by a dog (ears), but that was also an easy repair. I wasn't able to do anything about the worn out nose, but I think it just adds character.

Also off to enjoy a renewed life with my Grandchildren. :)

In Lakeland, where I live, we have a bank that is displaying these stuffed creatures.

Before heading off to the airport, we spent some time in the tiny Fræðasetur Nature Center. It was a neat way to end the trip, since we didn't encounter any wildlife (besides a few birds) during our time in Iceland. I knew we were way past the puffin season, but I had hoped to see seals. We saw our share of farmed sheep and horses, but no real wildlife. At least we got to see the stuffed versions ;)

Woodland fox created with a mustache and tie would make a great gift or cute home decor. Find him and other unique items in my Etsy shop at:

In this shot you can see the finished product, along with a nice black Radio Knob replacing the big boring beige knob that comes with the dimmer switch.

The grayscale SE/30 photographs itself using a B&W low resolution QuickCam while displaying the live monitor composition window, hence the recursive picture.
