Offshoot recently organised a portrait photography workshop with New Generation Camera Club, which was very productive for all involved.
Thanks to Richard Byrne for running it and our very professional models Lavina and Yasmin who helped even we less experienced portrait photographers get the best out of the day.
This one had a treatment with the soft sepia filter on an Ilford Pan F film emulation in Nik Silver Efex.

I took a few frames like this with Erin sitting down on the ground but something just didn't look right. Then I brought out the fan and realized I've found the missing piece of the puzzle. With some movement in her hair the pose looked so much better.
Turned this into a B&W in Photoshop then cross processed using E6-C41, reduced the capacity to a small % so there's only a little tint of red.
Lighting info:
Main light - beauty dish in front of Erin, high above her.
Rim light w/stripe softbox camera left
Background light, gridded and gelled pointing at the background.

A set of 8 photographs of the same girl in various dance outfits and postures. I think the photographer has encouraged her to go over the top with her jazz hands.
The studio was Gainsboro Studio, Hope St, Hanley but I can't decipher the signature you can see at the bottom of some the shots. The photos are all 7" by 9" and in even bigger frames.
