Three light set-up. Beaty dish for face, 30x150 cm softbox for body and simple reflector for catch light in the hair.

Two self-portraits shot in the studio because it was either too hot or too rainy to go outside.

Apologies to the Bard for stealing his line. For the past three years it has seemed that something wicked was always on the way. Part of a multi-year series on how to age disgracefully.

A set of 8 photographs of the same girl in various dance outfits and postures. I think the photographer has encouraged her to go over the top with her jazz hands.

The studio was Gainsboro Studio, Hope St, Hanley but I can't decipher the signature you can see at the bottom of some the shots. The photos are all 7" by 9" and in even bigger frames.

A set of 22 sepia photographs all datestamped on the reverse 31 March 1939. They came in an envelope from Jerome Ltd of Kings Cross Road London that was addressed to Miss Sear. From other photographs of the same girl her first name can be identified as Marjorie.
