MX09 MHN is an AD Enviro200 new to Sheffield Community Transport in May 2009. It later passed to Compass Bus of Worthing before joining the Stuarts of Carluke fleet in 2019. It is seen here at Lanark interchange still in Compass bus livery whilst operating SPT supported service 91 to Biggar.

Stuart Palmer of Dunstable acquired a number of former London Buses' DMS's when the last examples were withdrawn in the early 1990's, these being the later 'B20' examples which were quieter - they had also received new Iveco engines a couple of years before as part of a refurbishment scheme for the 'Suttonbus' operating unit. THX 345S is seen here in Upper George Street, Luton circa 1994 - it had been new to Wandsworth in March 1978 and had operated at Sutton between July 1982 and May 1992 when it passed to Palmer. Taken over by Luton and District in October 1994, the vehicle continued operating for L&D until scrapping by Whitings of Ferrybridge in May 1996.

These Stuart Weitzman slingbacks are some of my fave heels at the moment. Beautiful French navy blue patent. Perfect fit and comfortable enough to wear all day. Thought they were a nice match with my yellow culots and navy & off-white blouse.

This is another cloudless, though beautiful sunrise in Stuart, Florida. This is an amazing place and the opportunities are countless. There is a stretch of rock with all shapes and types. Light was great that morning and allowed for some interesting side lit items such a the wave action around this lonesome rock.

This is a single image using a 2 stop Reverse Graduated Singh Ray filter to deal with the dynamic range.

Hope everyone is doing great, wish all my Flickr friends and contacts a great Tuesday night!

As always, thanks for stopping by and looking, I appreciate your comments and critiques

portrait52-Stuart Fergus Brown - Thanks very much to Stuart who was my 5th portrait in this portrait52 project.

He was asked by Kerry McGlew Mendis, which 4 historic or famous people would you invite to a dinner party and why.

He chose Socrates because he would love to ask him a lot things, but Stuart thought he would only only ask questions and would need Plato with him.

Stuart's second person would be the lead singer of Mike Patten. Mike Patten is the former lead singer Faith No More. Stuart though he would be good value.

The third person would be Konstantin Stanislavski who is a was as Russian actor most famous for creating a system of actor training, preparation and rehearsal technique.

His final choice would be Tilda Swinton.

His last two choices were due to the fact he is an actor and would love to pick their brains.

We had an awesome session and the challenge of trying to create something different from what is just my boring flat.

This was shot with 3 flashes. There is a flash camera left in just behind the wall adding some fill to his face. There is a flash camera right behind the wall lighting him on camera right. The third flash s near me lighting up the wall on camera right to give it different layers of lighting on the wall.

From our vacation is this sunset over Stuart, Florida.

New company sign that got put up today, looks very smart

IceCarbon started going gaga over hamster and wanted to take pictures of Stuart & Toffee. He had a lot of ideas but none of them could be accomplished by Toffee & Stuart.

He brought props for them, which they didn't appreciate. Stuart ran really fast and we had a hard time chasing after him (with camera). But the sweet part was that after running for a distance. He would stop and run back to the tank, climb in and cuddle up with Toffee. All by himself!

Check out his pictures here.

Although Stuarts Coaches were formed in 1979 with a single Bedford VAS5 coach, it was only at deregulation in 1986 that full sized vehicles began to be operated.

A trio of former Grampian Regional Transport Alexander bodied Leyland Atlanteans arrived in 1987 and were operated on the stage carriage routes into Manchester which the company had registered.

This one had originally been registered NRG173M but was re-registered to ABM801A on its arrival in Manchester.

WILL THE BILL GATES CLIMATE CHANGE STRATEGY WORK?

Bill Gates and a group of billionaires formed the Breakthrough Energy Coalition and pledged to spend billions on cleantech R&D in order to find the technological breakthroughs they say are needed to decarbonize the economy. There’s nothing wrong with R&D spending, but a number of critics argue that Gates’ money would be much better spent on funding and scaling existing renewable technology. In a recent report, Goldman Sachs concluded that the most effective midterm solution for lowering carbon emissions—and making money—is backing existing technologies that are ready to scale. In fact, the banks believe that the majority of investor dollars should go only to four technologies: solar photovoltaics, onshore wind, LED lighting, and electric cars. Who’s right?
