So . . . me and brett took a trip up to the 'surf the turf' mountain board centre, to take a look at how it was getting on.

this site is ran buy a few guys. who have funded the entire thing off his own back. hopefully this year they are looking to get some help from outside companies.

its good fror bmx, mountain bikes and other bits and bobs. ill try keep you all updated through the summer.

The sunsets at Stuart Lake were impressive. It reminded us of the ocean, with the wind, the waves, and the sheer size of the lake.

This is taken along the beach at Camp Morice, which is located on the south shore of Stuart Lake, between Paarens Beach and the Stuart River.

Stuart’s horse artillery was commanded by Major Robert F. Beckham, a Virginian who had graduated from West Point (USMA 1859) just before the war. He would go on to become the commander of the artillery of Hood’s Army of the Tennessee, where he would be mortally wounded in the November, 1864 Battle of Franklin.
