The sunsets at Stuart Lake were impressive. It reminded us of the ocean, with the wind, the waves, and the sheer size of the lake.

In addition to being one of the all-time greats of country music, and a genius on the guitar and mandolin, Marty Stuart is a gracious ambassador for the music. He helps give lesser-known artists a bigger audience and gives new artists their big break. He honors the legends and helps introduce them to new audiences. (He was integral to the resurgence of Johnny Cash and Porter Wagoner.) He seems most excited when bragging about somebody else's work, offering honest, heart-felt compliments and endorsements for his favorite fellow artists, across many genres. Marty Stuart is one hell of a music man, and he is also one of us- a true shutterbug and a lover of photographer.
I am a huge fan, if you can't tell. Last night in Watseka, he and the Superlatives sliced and diced the air, and just plain melted my face, country style.

Nanotech Company is working different types of an element such as carbon nanotubes, nano-drops, zinc oxide, solar panels, nanowires or palladium nanoparticles can be used in nanotechnology-based sensors.

Gilbert Stuart was one of the nation's foremost portrait painters. The image of George Washington that graces all of the one-dollar bills comes from a painting that Stuart left unfinished at the time of his death.
We had no plans to visit; we saw the sign as we drove by on our way home. Kurt wasn't keen on taking a detour -- we were seriously low on gas! We'll have to come back when the museum is open in the summer.

Mount Stuart is Britain's most astounding Victorian gothic mansion. Home to the Stuarts of Bute, descendants of the Royal House of Stuart, this magnificent house sits proudly on the Isle of Bute - ancient stronghold of Scottish kings.
The house arose from the ashes of the previous Mount Stuart, a building dating from the reign of Queen Anne, which was destroyed by fire in 1877.
