Key Tower, a postmodern structure located at Key Center, and anchoring the north side of Public Square, is the tallest building in Cleveland and the state of Ohio, and was constructed in 1991. Designed by Architect César Pelli, the building has 57 floors, and is 947 feet tall, visible up to 20 miles away. The main tenant of the structure is KeyBank, a major financial firm that is headquartered in the building. Adjacent to the building is the Marriott Key Center, a smaller structure constructed at the same time, and the Society for Savings Building, a ten-floor historic structure constructed in 1889 as the first "skyscraper" in Ohio. Today, Key Tower remains the tallest building in the Midwestern United States outside of Chicago, and the tallest building in Ohio.

Structure fire at 611 Bishop Blvd. in North Brunswick, NJ on 8/17/08
Naugatuck Fire was dispatched shortly before 9 a.m. this morning (12/8) for fire and smoke coming under the siding of a 3 family house on Terrace Ave.
The first due Engine and Ladder found a fire on the exterior front of the structure apparently caused by a roofing crew that was attempting to clear snow and ice from their work area by using a torch which had ignited the roofing material as well as the wood beneath the siding at the roof line.
The aerial ladder was set up and the area on fire was opened up and quickly extinguished. The crews checked the interior of the affected structure and the attic for extensions, of which none were found.
They also inspected another section of the roof that had also been de-iced to determine whether any other spot fires existed but the searches proved negative.
The quick response kept the structural damage to a minimum and none of the residents were displaced by the fire.
