Via Crociferi is one of Catania's most attractive streets, famous for its baroque churches and other buildings.
Via Crociferi is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site that form together the late Baroque towns of the Val di Noto.
The churches here on this photo are: Church of Saint Francis Borgia (Chiesa di San Francesco Borgia) (the church right) and Church of Saint Benedict (Chiesa di San Benedetto).

Une belle surprise
Récemment, lors d'un après-midi nuageux où je randonnais à la recherche de parulines, j'ai eu le loisir, après qu'il se sustenta à une de mangeoires installées sur le site, de le voir se percher à hauteur de mes yeux à courte distance quelques instants. Ce fut suffisant. Petit bonheur puisque tout au long de ce passage j'en ai entendu plusieurs chanter, mais toujours positionné à la cime des arbres, très très haut. Il était temps, ma dernière présentation d'un mâle de cette espèce perché de façon à ce que nous puissions voir sa poitrine rose, remonte au mois de mai 2015 au Refuge faunique Marguerite-D'Youville de l'Île Saint-Bernard à Châteauguay. Toujours bien agréable de le rencontrer et de l'entendre chanter.

St. Peter's Church (Dutch: Pieterskerk) is a Reformed and former Roman Catholic church in the city of Utrecht in the Netherlands, dedicated to Peter the Apostle. It is one of the city's oldest churches. Its construction began in 1039 and it was inaugurated on 1 May 1048.

I loved the way the sea was on the day I visited Annestown beach. It had a strong surge with big rolling waves with white horses, as you can see here. There were a few surfers out on a few of the beaches of the Copper Coast but I didn’t see any on this beach.

Les passereaux d'automne (suite)
Toujours en compagnie de nos petits passereaux croisés cet automne, en voilà un autre que nous retrouvons partout dans le sud du Québec lors de cette saison et tout le temps en abondance. En général moins furtif que les autres espèces qui l'accompagnent pendant cette période de migration, il nous sera plus souvent aisé de le capter de jolie façon. Le spécimen que nous voyons ici est de forme chamois, nous pouvons le remarquer en examinant sa calotte qui ne présente pas le jaune vif et les stries blanches et noires que nous retrouvons chez celui de forme régulière, comme vous pouvez le voir sur cette publication datant de 2020.

The Rietveld Schröder House in Utrecht was commissioned by Ms Truus Schröder-Schräder, designed by the architect Gerrit Thomas Rietveld, and built in 1924. This small family house, with its interior, the flexible spatial arrangement, and the visual and formal qualities, was a manifesto of the ideals of the De Stijl group of artists and architects in the Netherlands in the 1920s, and has since been considered one of the icons of the Modern Movement in architecture.

Ils sont particulièrement abondant en ce lieu. Jamais je crois en avoir vu autant en un même endroit. Sympathique petit pic. Tellement petit. J’en ai observé un, à Angrignon cette fois-là, venir manger des morceaux d’arachide dans ma main la semaine dernière, il est resté jusqu’au moment où il avait tout mangé la quelques vingtaine de miettes... Je l’ai observé tout près de mes yeux. Vraiment tout près. C’est fou. Incroyable comment ont peu alors prendre la mesure de la petitesse de ce charmant Pic mineur! Incroyable!

Mount Agri (Mount Ararat) is a snow-capped, dormant volcanic cone in Turkey. It has two peaks: Greater Agri (the tallest peak in Turkey with an elevation of 5,137 m (16,854 ft)) and Lesser Agri (with an elevation of 3,896 m (12,782 ft)).
Ararat is also the mountain, where, according to the bible and the quran, Noah landed with the Ark.

Captured this with three RAW shots at -2..0..+2 EV. Digital blending in Photoshop CS6. Decreased the overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Curve adjustment to decrease the overall contrast. 1 layer mask in soft light mode at 50% gray, using brush tool to lighten and darken some areas of the image, to bring out details. Topaz DeNoise to reduce noise.
