Wikipedia: The blue-tailed bee-eater (Merops philippinus) is a near passerine bird in the bee-eater family Meropidae. It is widely distributed across South and Southeast Asia where many populations are strongly migratory, and seen seasonally in many parts but breeding colonially in small areas across their range, mostly in river valleys, where the nest by tunneling into loamy sand banks. They are seen mostly in open habitats close to water.

The original mill De Zwaluw was built in 1875 as a corn and pearl barley mill. Additionally , it was used as a saw mill.
The mill was listed as a Rijksmonument in 1971. In November 1972, the mill was struck by lightning and burnt down, leaving the base and saw mill standing. Restoration started in 1984 and completed in 1987.

Kinderdijk is a village in the Netherlands, belonging to the municipality of Molenwaard, in the province South Holland, about 15 km east of Rotterdam. Kinderdijk is situated in a polder in the Alblasserwaard. To drain the polder, a system of 19 windmills was built around 1740. This group of mills is the largest concentration of old windmills in the Netherlands. The windmills of Kinderdijk are one of the best known Dutch tourist sites. They have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997.

The brick bell tower, or campanile, is one of the oldest left in Venice, probably dating from the 12th century.

he Heiligen Geist Hospital (Hospital of the Holy Spirit) was built around 1280 and is now a tourist attraction in Luebeck. This beautiful brick building with its 5 spires is one of Europe´s oldest hospitals. Originally it was a civil social institution, later it was run by the church.
