First time experimenting with FX-39 II. Got a 50%-off deal at the local shop. Learned it works well with slower and especially t-grained films. So far it looks promising! Too bad the tri-x stock is running low :-P

My wife's first macrame creation - a plant hanger - knotted from a handy ball of string. In the background is the bowl it hung from the ceiling. (For Macro Mondays "string")

'Yoke the' is the Burmese name for marionette puppetry that originated in the late 1700s. There are 21 character figures, each employing 18 wires controlled by the one puppeteer. Puppets for sale on the streets of Mandalay, Myanmar.

The day started very early and, as always, the plans were very ambitious. Planned train times had to coincide with reality and the variable "position of the sun" naturally also played a role. For the first performance this day, however, everything fit.

DB Cargo's 232 262 hauled her(!) 45367 (NNR - XTCH) up from Freihung to disappear a little later behind the Thansüß stop into the forest towards Weiherhammer. It was loud. Next time let me hear you louder!

This is a decorative string made of recycled paper and my second attempt to understand what the word string means😊

In any case, let's protect nature!

I ended up in an unusual place today. I did not set out to do a bw square image of string, but there you go. This is string around the neck of a vase which in a way became my light table. Somehow the picture looked best in bw.

Many thanks for all views, fav's - and particularly comments - all are greatly appreciated!

Happy Macro Mondays to you all!

Whoops... too late in the day, I've remembered this string featured in the MM theme "Closed". Well, this is the other end of the string holding the key to our not at all secure security box.

Red string strung under the front verandah of the Tin Cat Cafe in Kent Town. The shapes on the right are paper lanterns hung from the verandah ceiling.

Some of the steel strings (there are 29 in total!) of my monochord instrument, that I built this summer.

They are attached to pegs on the sound board, on the upper part of the instrument, which allows to adjust their tension. After going round a smooth 90° bend, they rest on a brass rod that transmits their vibrations to the wooden resonance body.

On a monochord, all the strings are tuned to the same tone. In my case, the last six are made of brass and are tuned an octave lower.

Focus is on the "A" String or fifth string on a guitar.
