Stride is a 4+ program for individuals with an IEP that focuses on building the foundational skills that students need to move toward independence in adulthood. Stride facilitates personal development by providing rigorous instruction in the classroom and allowing students to apply that instruction to the real world.

Seen on 18 Nov 2006, the then new id for Runcorn services was Strider. Arriva NW 2536 DK55FXZ was proudly wearing the new branding when seen at the lights at the start of Wilderspool Causeway about to move into New Chester Road by the site of the former Crosville depot

Custom mini-Munny I just completed as a private commission. The scarf is made from actual cloth and the hair, belt and weapon are sculpted from scratch.
The control circuit is a 6-bicore circuit. One each for each motor, one for the head light-seeking, and one to toggle between walking and "looking" modes. Simple, and VERY effective.

That young couple striding across Boston's City Hall Plaza seem to echo the massive stride of the figure in the foreground. But the figure in the foreground isn't striding -- it's an abstraction that looks less like a person than a cross between a dinosaur and a fighting creature in Star Wars. It's called Thermopylae and is the work of sculptor Dmitri Hadzi.

The shimmering surface waters of the Japanese Pond in U.C. Botanical Garden at Berkeley; the shimmering is the result of the movements of countless "water striders" (insect family Gerridae) which are able to skitter across the surface of the water--kept high and dry by the force of the water's surface tension; a large clump of water iris forms a green island about which the insects skate; the background sounds are those of a nearby, small waterfall created by the exiting overflow of the pond into Strawberry Creek.

Mating Water Striders. Pinch to zoom and see that there are two bugs! Water striders are small insects that use the surface tension of water to their advantage so they can “walk on water." The secret is that their legs have tiny hairs that repel water and capture air. By repelling water, the tiny water striders stand on the water’s surface and the captured air allows them to float and move easily. They are about a half inch long with a thin body and three sets of legs. The front legs are much shorter than the two sets of back legs and are used for catching and holding food. Water striders eat insects and larvae on the surface of water, such as mosquitoes and fallen dragonflies. (Info from the National Wildlife Federation)

N78 VDW is a Scania N113CRL Alexander Strider and is being operated by Harrogate Coach Travel branded as Connexions Buses, and is working a turn on service 142 to Ripon.
Before working with HCT, this bus was with Newport Bus - and traces of former ownership can be easily seen above the door: "Newport Bus serving the city".
This side-on view shopws clearly the various angles of the front end, the styling of which makes the Strider one of my favourite single deckers. This one still retains its Strider badge as well.
Austin does an armjump but it looks like a stride. Weird huh...
