Streamlined art deco van. This design is a slightly modified version of Flickr user snaillad's van, which you can find in his photostream. I wanted to do a different colour and add a more rounded rear - and I think I achieved the last part quite nicely. First created in MLCad, then built with real bricks.
"Get me out of here" - that was all I was thinking... the water was so cold. And I needed 3 tries to get a decent self-click; holding the camera in a precarious position. But I really like the splash that is created by my legs and the way the beach 'leads you' to me...perfect!

On Southern fan trips in the 70's and 80's, if the train was was moving, I was hanging out of it trying to get a picture. If one didn't finich with soot on one's face outling the goggles and enough cinders in ones hair to start a garden, it wasn't a fun trip.
Here 611 pulls up to and then around the passenger cars to head back.
Norfolk and Western Railway's J class steam locomotives were a class of 4-8-4 locomotives built by the Norfolk and Western Railway's East End Shops in Roanoke, Virginia between 1941 and 1950. 611 was built in 1950 as a streamlined engine unlike some of its relatives. They were equipped with 300 psi boilers, 70-inch (1,778 mm) driving wheels, and roller bearings on all wheels and rods. The locomotives were designed for high speed service and could top 110 mph.
Here is a picture of it when I find it

Soo Line 2-8-2 1003 and the Wisconsin and Southern E9s had the 2002 Baraboo Circus Train heading for Milwaukee.
The Great Circus Parade, which featured historic circus wagons from the Circus World Museum, was held in Milwaukee in 1963, and in various cities between 1985 and 2005, primarily Milwaukee (1985–2003) and Baraboo, Wisconsin (2004–2005).
When held in Milwaukee, the parade entailed a two-day journey by train across Wisconsin, from Baraboo to Milwaukee, making brief stops at cities along the way.
