Mine is longer and not as tall, but I have made my signage flush with the side of the truck. I may have to build more.
Lined up around the Goulburn Rail Heritage Centre turntable for the Streamliners 2016 event are locos 4204, 42101, 4490, 4477, B65, S302, S306, S317, S300, 4486, GM27, GM19, GM1, CLP11 and 42105 during a night photoshoot on Sunday 2-10-2016

Built 1938 as an economy version of the bogie streamliners, 245 was one of a 100 strong class built at the Corporations Edge Lane works on EMB 9' Flexible Axle trucks and 60hp BTH motors. The controllers were reconditioned ones from scrapped Bellamy cars fitted with the addition of EMB brake interlock boxes. The cars ran well on street track but could be quite alarming on the softer foundations and higher speeds of Liverpool's extensive reserved tracks. Not as well appointed or as fast as their bigger sisters, their economy of operation however meant they survived to the end of tramway operation in 1957.
Nicely and carefully restored Scania. Ready for immediate use, for the time being only shows and promotions.
A design element from a 1937 Cord automobile! This row of ridges runs along the side of the hood. From what I can tell, they have no function other than for looks, for which they are very effective!
A gathering of vintage diesel locomotives, held at Goulburn Roundhouse, NSW. After the success of the first event (2016), wars and pestilence, at last it's been possible to hold the long- delayed follow-up.
The highlight of the opening day of Streamliners 2016 at Goulburn Roundhouse was a spectacular fireworks display above the 19 attending locomotives.

"Die 01 1104 wurde nach ihrer Ausmusterung so um 1973 von einem Briten namens Dr. Beet (nicht identisch mit dem Dr. Beat der Miami Soundmachine;-)) erworben und auf der Straße nach Carnforth in Nordengland gebracht. Dort gab es für einige Jahrzehnte im ehemaligen Depot von BR ein "steam centre", nach britischer Lesart ein Eisenbahnmuseum mit Dampfbetrieb. Dort ist die 01 1104 auch tatsächlich einige Male unter Dampf gezeigt worden und ein paar 100 Meter hin und her gefahren. Ein Einsatz auf dem BR-Streckennetz oder auf Museumsbahnen war wegen des erheblich kleineren Lichraumprofils zu keiner Zeit möglich.
Dr. Beet war außerdem Eigentümer einer DB 80er, die er von der Ruhrkohle AG erwarb, einer SNCF 231 K sowie mehrerer britischer Dampfloks.
Das steam centre in Carnforth musste vor rund 10 Jahren seine Tore schließen, da das Gelände für städtebauliche Zwecke benötigt wurde. Auf einen kleinen noch verbliebenen Teil ist heute eine Firma angesiedelt, die für Museumsbahnen Dampfloks restauriert, aber alle damals dort beheimateten Museumsloks mussten ausziehen. Die drei Loks vom Kontinent waren dann einige Jahre in London unzugänglich abgestellt, ehe sie den Weg ins BEM nach Nördlingen fanden. Von dort aus sind sie dann schließlich (wann?) nach Heilbronn umgezogen."
