The lineup of streamlined diesel electric locomotives around the turntable at Goulburn Roundhouse during Streamliners 2016
Another recent arrival from the Stobart Shop of a type not yet available in Oxford Diecast's standard range, the Scania R143M Streamline is one of my favourite cabs. At the moment this one is still in as-acquired condition but the plan is to graft its cab onto an Oxford recovery vehicle.
42101, beautifully restored to its former glory by James Gray, virtually stole the show at Streamliners 2016. Indeed, it turns heads whenever it is seen undertaking special enthusiast passenger trains.
Fine old trailer at the Clarkdale Classic Station. They always have a great collection of goodies parked there.
Forgotten '50s trailer at the abandoned Pearsonville junkyard.

The 1949 PONTIAC STREAMLINER ran under dealer registration. That trader's license plate is linked to a trader, not to a car.
I have gathered the data from comparable Pontiacs.

Not sure where/who this originated from (more than happy to discover), but this Citroen DS Streamliner popped up around five years ago on twitter and pintrest.
I had seen it a couple of times, thinking that it would make a great lego build at some point.
I don'y actually think its a real car, more a digital render, as there is no other information about the vehicle, and only this one single image view. It does look great though, and might actually work as a Streamliner Salt Flat racer, though it would need a significant step up in power over the standard 4-cylinder Citroen engines installed in the DS in its original form.
Having owned a car of similar mechanical configuration (front-mid-engine FWD), I might suggest the ubiquitous Chevrolet small-block pushrod V8. maybe a Porsche 911 transaxle for transmission and final drive placement.
Though slicing the roof of would improve frontal area, the drag Cd improvement over the already excellent DS shape would not be as significant as seen on some other Salt Flat cars.
Nonetheless, would do other people think?

Sole survivor of a class of six, Class 12.004 is pictured in Hall 2 of Train World, the Belgian National Railway Museum.
The locomotives were built to work lightweight, very fast expresses such as the Brussels-Ostend Boat Train. Designed for sustained 145km/h running with light loads, the class still holds the Belgian steam locomotive speed record of 165km/h.
Engineer Sir Dennistoun Burney designed many things over the years, including a mine detector in the First World War for which he received a then huge award of £400000 from the government due to the amount of shipping saved by it.
He also worked on the R100 and turned his hand to designing a car.
The Streamliner had many advanced features, including all round independent suspension.
Unfortunately some of Burney's ideas were ahead of the available technology, and the rear mounted engines often overheated & filled the interior with fumes!
Only 12 were built, apart from prototypes and the design was sold to Crossley.
No trace of RX7014, which was a Berkshire registration of 1930.

Nicely and carefully restored Scania. Ready for immediate use, for the time being only shows and promotions.
