In The Compleat Angler or The Contemplative Man's Recreation, Izaak Walton wrote, 'And you are further to know, that there be certain waters, that breed Trouts remarkable both for their number and smallness. I know a little brook in Kent, that breeds them to a number incredible, and you may take them twenty and forty in an hour, but none greater than about the size of a Gudgeon ...'. It was conjectured by James Rennie (Editor of the 1833 Printing), that Walton was referring to the River Cray, seen here as it flows through Foots Cray Meadows (in the London Borough of Bexley).

This was my first, and certainly not last, visit to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. One of the many great features of the park are the wide and great looking streams. And all the better being able to frame one of the streams with some blooming rhododendron. Unfortunately many of the rhododendrons didn't produce blooms this year, but there is always next year.
Thanks for looking!

About
The area around the river Akerselva was traditionally home of workers that found employment in the many industries getting power from Akerselva. Now mostly offices is located near the shores of Akerselva. The river was one big sewage hundred years ago, but now the river is surrounded by green areas. The transformation has made the area more trendy, but you still find the people in Oslo talking about Akerselva dividing Oslo in a poor eastern part and rich western part.

A change to a watery shot from last August beside the midge infested waters of the Etherow. I like this shot but it does make me feel itchy again ;D
I tried the whole "take the photo from down low" suggestion you always hear professionals give, and I liked it more than the higher up shot! Good job, professionals!
Even though I couldn't edit the RAW file to look as good as the JPEG that came from the camera, I'm publishing it anyway because I worked hours on it. . .
