We have been hiking in to some pretty awesome water falls this past couple of weeks. This one was only a 2 mile round trip hike. WHY have we not known about this before!!!??? It was so gorgeous. I am sure I will be posting some of the other angles of it. Playing with a new filter, so not that great of white water, but I am getting the hang of it.
Even though the temperature had been below freezing for twelve straight days, there was still some liquid water flowing behind the Eureka Lake Falls and along a mostly under-the-ice but occasionally visible creek below the waterfall.
Taken in The Great Smoky Mountains, in Elkmont. Was there to see the old houses, and came upon this beautiful stream, accidentally!! Thanks for looking and God Bless!!
My daughter joined me for a quick fun photo session at Rocky Point in Baltimore County this evening. She did this despite not feeling 100%. It was a little above freezing, so not too cold (at least for me).
Here is post sunset capture with the streaming clouds coming out of the west over the Chesapeake Bay in this 500 second exposure.
As runoff from higher ground collects in this deep forest valley, a stream of water begins flowing away, first toward a deep river, and then on to its eventual destination of Lake Michigan. Amazing to think how these little pools can feed into major waterways.

the water in this stream tastes quite acidic, the next one nearby tasted alkaline !

La Gère, petit ruisseau traversant les bois de Bonnevaux .. Les fées se sont invitées comme celle face à nous et sa grande robe bleue, brandissant sa baguette magique pour faire disparaitre tous ces virus !! 😂 .. Je sais, j'ai beaucoup d'imagination, je vis en quasi rêve quand je vais dans mes ruisseaux, mais c'est mieux que d'écouter toutes les mauvaises nouvelles qu'on nous annonce en permanence !

The Gère, a small stream running through the woods of Bonnevaux . The fairies have invited themselves like the one in front of us with her big blue dress, brandishing her magic wand to make all these viruses disappear ! 😂 ..
I know, I have a lot of imagination, I live in quasi dream when I go to my streams, but it's better than listening to all the bad news we are constantly told !
