This is a shot of a beautiful little stream outside the Best Western hotel I stayed in while in Syracuse, NY. The shutter speed on this one was 1/8 of a second at 64 ISO.
On November 1st, the Lighthouse Learners traveled to Calumet Waterworks to study what lives in a stream. The Lighthouse Learners were led by Michelle Miller of Michigan Tech and although they didn't find many organisms, they did learn a great deal about ecosystems and cause and effect.

This is the same stream that was shown in the ford picture. Instead of wading through the ford we just crossed at the narrow pinch point at the bottom of the photo.

These falls are located 8 miles north Of the Compton Post Office on Hwy 43. This located in the Buffalo River Area. There is really not any specific water falls but there are several as you hike down the stream. These are taken in middle of the day and I was stacking ND filters and polarizers. The shadows are a little harsh but I dont get to go waterfall chasing much so I shot them anyhow.
I finally got around to trying some water drop photography......

After all the heavy rain we've had recently the little stream we found hidden away running into the River Derwent was really full. These little waterfals where right at the bottom of the stream
Ogopogo is a cousin of the Loch Ness Monster, who lives in Okanagan Lake. Ogopogo is famous and her image is everywhere in the Okanagan. This statue was around when I was a kid, and probably before that.
