there is no permanent channel here; the water goes where it pleases -- a network of small rivulets. It's hard to explain the unique thrill of walking over the ice, listening to the water trickle underneath my feet...

As it flows through the limestone karst formation of the Urbasa plateau, the waters that emerge as the Urederra have picked up minerals that turn them a glorious turquoise blue.

I was finally able to do a little hiking this past weekend. The temperature was perfect, it was cloudy, and the best part: NO RAIN! =)
