Outside of Joseph, Or there are sevareal beautiful (and sometimes very steep) trails that take you up and out of the valley and into the “high country” where you will find gargantuan rock peaks, year round snow, and moutain streams/rivers. This scene came into my view as my family and I were hiking down from one such trail after shooting some family portraits up near a waterfall. I was immediately taken with the shape of the stream, the motion of the water, and the lush green landscape that Oregon is known for. Cheers and happy Thursday everyone!

Slightly away from Blea Tarn but walking around the edges there are paths leading off in many directions, this one heads down to beautiful waterfall with hanging tress and a wonderful vista of the valley below.

Another try at a long exposure - again involving very cold feet as I set the tripod up mid stream.

The hike was marked "blue" as opposed to "red" which in hiking means harder; the reverse applies to slopes for skiing. Speaking of, I will shortly commence my first skiing season :)
