Yellow zone is 2' off the main wall, all the way around the main open area of the basement. The storage system as thickened wall keeps the middle of the room open while maximizing unused wall area for storage. This way, storage can also be easily divided up by program, with each group using the storage areas that are most convenient for their own programming within the space.
Storage system could also encompass areas that become horizontal surfaces like counter tops, desks, or even larger protruding closets for bigger storage.
Perhaps could integrate the furniture storage into this thickened wall.

Further, access to the storage facility is limited to a single entrance/ exit point with a power security gate, requiring a security access code.
Computerized Access Control
Access codes are managed and monitored by the security system, ensuring that only current tenants have access to the facility. The entrance gate will automatically close after a set period of time, and requires the input of the access code to leave the facility as well. Further, all tenants are required to provide photo identification when renting a unit.
Video Surveillance
Strategically placed cameras record and monitor activity.
Security Lighting
The facility features a network of over 60 commercial grade lights which provide you with light to safely load or unload at your unit.
While loading some things in my storage unit, it hit me that this would be a cool spot to take my picture of the day. With no one around, I set up my tripod, grabbed the remote, and went for it.

This is fairly spread out right now, and more consolidation can occur in the future as expansions are released. For example, the different color bagpipe banners are separate, but these could easily be stored together.
