Here's what's required to get the car road legal again: remove back seats, fit storage bins. Easier said than done. Whole procedure took a LOT longer than anticipated

One of the small bedrooms in my house was remodeled by us to hold all of the small parts. All the design work was done by my wife with the exception of the decision to use the sterite drawers and their arrangement, and the brick crown molding, which I conceived and executed.
The work on this room (and all of our Lego Storage even areas not shown) was completed between mid Feb and mid May 2012.
Work in progress. Clockwise - Red - Green - Yellow - Blue walls.
Buried in the back of this abandoned storage shed are these chests. I don't know about the rest of them, but the blue one on top one is someone's old porn collection. And not the Playboy/ Penthouse kind either... this is a collection of the WEIRD stuff.
I'm not using my juicer often, so it stays up above the fridge. Food processor blades (sharp!) stay up here too
Another ten minute task... that only took a little over ten minutes!
These bamboo sticks and assorted dowels have been propped up in various corners and nooks or standing in pails (that inevitably topple over, scattering the contents) for a number of years now. I finally decided to slip them up in to the rafters... temporarily, of course.
There were more of these sticks than I expected, so the job took about fifteen minutes, but now they're out of the way and I won't have to be constantly moving them; more importantly, they won't be falling over every time I shift something around.
Yes, I'll need to take them down at some point -- I reiterate, "temporary" storage -- because I have a project in mind for which I'll need them; but said project has been "in mind" since I moved in here and first saw the storage shed nearly nine years ago, so... yeah.
you can never have too much.
Got these 1TB iomega USB drives from the ComputerAlliance for $119 each, which ain't a real bad price.
Not worth makin' 'em yourself for that.
I also got a 1 TB Netgear Stora NAS. It thinks it's way smarter than it is - ie it doesn't let you do things that it doesn't want you to - which happened to be the things I wanted to do. I took it back.

My coworker, Marni, gave me this great storage unit originally used to store newspapers, I believe. The drawers are shallow and wide and will great for ephemeral items for paper crafting.
We figured out that these were the storage units for sidearms. They strap onto the board, and slide into the slots.

Built in the 90's to store tools at the Bergholz rail yard. I used to shoot at it with my BB gun from my bedroom window. It's seen better days.

Testing the Logitech Z-2300.
The sub is way too big if I have the shelf inside, and the satellites won't properly fit, the Z-2300 is way overkill for this setup.
I will have to look at other options for speakers.
