Fabric Storage: Top two drawers (love the full extension drawers!) on a built in. Assorted fat quarters are in the top drawer and 1/2 yard and larger cuts/sets are in the lower drawer.

Basement: Old coal storage room, this is directly below the concrete pad with manhole along east exterior of building / parking lot.
Room has been emptied and you can now see the extensive damage and mold / rust / etc.... I recommend having someone come look at it - assessing mold and recommendation on how to seal shut.

I got these cube storage untis at Michael's. I modified some caster units to make them movable. They are mostly empty (for now). I will probably leave them in this location.
Many older cemeteries in New England used receiving vaults to store bodies during winter. The frozen ground made burial impossible, so the deceased were kept in a holding vault until the spring thaw. These structures had heavy, often iron, doors to secure the contents.
Purpose: The practice was common in the region's harsh climate and is the likely origin for many of the iron-doored structures seen in older cemeteries today.
Appearance: These vaults often look like small, hillside buildings with a single door, which can be made of wood or iron.

Demolition of the Rainier Cold Storage Stock House in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle. The building was recognized as a historic landmark by the city of Seattle, but was approved for demolition due to structural integrity concerns (the building was sinking).
My layman's understanding (through talking with others in the neighborhood) is that the sinking was caused by the ground underneath the building thawing after being frozen for many years.
Inside the light-sealed, 75-foot tall storage silo at Betteravia. A spiral staircase within the support column leads to the top, providing roof access. Being inside was a very surreal experience, as sounds would echo and reverberate, creating an extremely eerie environment.
My office was getting rid of a bunch of these old cabinets, used for storing glass slides. So I brought a couple home. Turned out to be perfect for ribbon storage. I knew I'd find a use for them, but I had no idea I'd fill an entire cabinet with ribbon and twine. I think I have too much ribbon, lol.

Location: Serifos - Greece
This elongated and low height space (L9.35 W1.86 H1.78)m constituted the main storage space of a house on the island of Serifos. The closed elevation inside the rock is formed by the building's foundation, while the other side provides enough light for living conditions. The owners decided to convert this small space to a private recreation room for their teenage daughter. The basic materials being used are usual for such a "more modern" island construction, white rough plaster, forged cement and ceramic tiles. Because of its low height, as this factor could not be modified, sconce lights were used on the walls.
Kitchenette was not required.

One of the small bedrooms in my house was remodeled by us to hold all of the small parts. All the design work was done by my wife with the exception of the decision to use the sterite drawers and their arrangement, and the brick crown molding, which I conceived and executed.
The work on this room (and all of our Lego Storage even areas not shown) was completed between mid Feb and mid May 2012.
