We live in a small house. The entrance is also our living room. To keep things organized and out of view we use the storage bench. Everyone has a basket inside the bench for outer wear. The mitten tree is up year round to hold anything wet.

Location: Serifos - Greece
This elongated and low height space (L9.35 W1.86 H1.78)m constituted the main storage space of a house on the island of Serifos. The closed elevation inside the rock is formed by the building's foundation, while the other side provides enough light for living conditions. The owners decided to convert this small space to a private recreation room for their teenage daughter. The basic materials being used are usual for such a "more modern" island construction, white rough plaster, forged cement and ceramic tiles. Because of its low height, as this factor could not be modified, sconce lights were used on the walls.
Kitchenette was not required.
On the left as you entered, just past the stairs, was this trashed storage room or pantry. I can only assume the litter that was all over the basement floor used to be in here. Note the outlet plate: these were cast aluminum, painted black, made to resemble hammered iron, and were (or had been) on every switch and receptacle in the house.

Cycle storage space is limited on this East Midlands Train service. The hatched area needs to be keep clear - the other side of the door is the train driver.
Various 5" gauge locomotives are seen in the storage roads between the station and steaming bay areas.

Inside my front hall closet is where all the goods are stored. Two hanging shoe rack units hold fabric sorted by colour fat quarter size down to an 8th. Inside the cupboard I have one shelf for yardage - 1/2 up to 2 or 3. I tried to sort one pile solids and one prints. All of these fabrics are 'stash' and not in designated projects. Fabrics you can see on a lower shelf are set aside to make into bags!
During WW2, the storage bunkers were used to store things like food, water, and documents. They were weather proof, heat / cool consistent and had their own air circulation system. Anyhow, one of the bunkers also was supposed to have had celophane films of various things. (not sure what).
Anyhow, when the Soviet Army invaded Berlin and liberated the airport, they couldn't get into some of the storage bunkers. Thus, they decided to blow up the steel doors to get access. This resulted in a fire that burned very hot - for several days.
While they don't know if anyone was killed, and the cello film was destroyed, these bunkers are still there and available for us to explore.
They've not been repaired, the black smoke/heat can be seen from the fire (it collapsed the concrete in places and twisted the steel reinforcing rods) and the warped doors are not all in their hinges. Strangely, they re-wired the lights - which are the only "repair" made.

This center opened in 2006; it was originally a Sears, which opened in 1968 and relocated here in February 1995.
The last week I have been very busy making my house ready for a visit of a few very nice Japanese Ladies who came to do a photoshoot for a book that will come out in the summer from "editions de Paris" called Dutch handmade interior!!!
One of the small bedrooms in my house was remodeled by us to hold all of the small parts. All the design work was done by my wife with the exception of the decision to use the sterite drawers and their arrangement, and (as you will see in other images) the brick crown molding, which I conceived and executed.
The work on this room (and all of our Lego Storage even areas not shown) was completed between mid Feb and mid May 2012.

Because I don't have any pernament studio I have to store my stuff in this chest. But it has a lot of disavantages. I think everybody who went through this can just agree with me. As I am moving to other apartment next weekend, I hope to set up my first studio corner there during winter time. I am so exciting about this!!!
