I shot all of these pictures on a Camman 35mm Camera Kit I obtained to review. For this set I used 400 ASA film on a cloudy day and they all came out over exposed. The very first few pics also have a strange cast to them. The film was expired, but not that much. Not sure what happened. I might have messed up the scanner settings.
The Roadie horizontal storage compartment is practical and anything but boring.

During WW2, the storage bunkers were used to store things like food, water, and documents. They were weather proof, heat / cool consistent and had their own air circulation system. Anyhow, one of the bunkers also was supposed to have had celophane films of various things. (not sure what).
Anyhow, when the Soviet Army invaded Berlin and liberated the airport, they couldn't get into some of the storage bunkers. Thus, they decided to blow up the steel doors to get access. This resulted in a fire that burned very hot - for several days.
While they don't know if anyone was killed, and the cello film was destroyed, these bunkers are still there and available for us to explore.
They've not been repaired, the black smoke/heat can be seen from the fire (it collapsed the concrete in places and twisted the steel reinforcing rods) and the warped doors are not all in their hinges. Strangely, they re-wired the lights - which are the only "repair" made.

Workers complete construction of a Seeds of Life seed storage facility at the agricultural high school in the Maliana sub-district of Bobonaro, in the west of East Timor.
The site was formerly the Australian Army's Forward Operating Base (FOB) Maliana, and was redeveloped into an agricultural high school when the facilities were handed over to the East Timor Government.
The printer lives on the top shelf of the white shelves. All of the furniture were hand-me-downs, so I had to repurpose them as I could. The $1 cafe curtains hide some of my shoes and other random things.
See the little door? It's another cabinet. Basically every spot that could be used as storage is used.
It took me several years to make, but it is finally done. 7 rows of extendable drawers inside hold the media. Designed to look (roughly) like an old pie safe. Total capacity of 800 DVDs or close to 2000 CDs depending on how its configured.
you know how you sometimes have this great idea for a photo series, and you go out and take a bunch of pictures and get so excited to show it off, then you find out it's already been done?
dammit.
Ottawa storage helps our customers with both short- and long-term storage needs. Short-term storage is usually needed by homeowners who may experience a gap between moving out of their previous home and moving into their new home or students who are between terms. Other times, homeowners need storage when staging their Ottawa house for sale or during remodeling projects.

Currently, the UK has just 2.8GW of grid-scale storage in the form of pumped hydro stations at four sitesThe most recent addition is more than 30 years old!
Other countries are taking storage requirements more seriously. Research by the Portuguese government, for example, suggests that a ratio of 3.5MW of installed wind capacity to 1MW of pumped hydro storage is appropriate for grid balancing purposes, and is investing accordingly.
Snowdonia Pumped Hydro (SPH) intends to build a 600 MWh pumped electricity storage facility at Glyn Rhonwy near Llanberis.
The scheme was granted planning permission by Gwynedd Council in February 2014. Now SPH is applying to increase the output of the facility from 49.9MW to 99.9MW.
This would be achieved solely by increasing the capacity of the underground turbines and associated equipment. In every other respect the revised facility would remain identical to that originally approved by Gwynedd Council.
The Glyn Rhonwy Pumped Storage scheme has been designed to bring new life to two dis-used slate quarries in the slopes of Cefn Du mountain in the Dyffryn Peris valley approximately 1.5km north west of Llanberis and 11km south east of the scheme will utilise two disused slate quarries; Glyn Rhonwy and Chwarel Fawr.
The decision to apply for the change was reached after talks with the Department of Energy and Climate Change, and with potential construction company partners. Britain’s energy needs have evolved since the scheme was designed and the government has included storage within the 2014 Electricity Market Reform Act with the aim of helping to ensure that Britain does not suffer blackouts.
The higher output will enable the Glyn Rhonwy facility to enable play a larger role in the new market, making it even more useful in balancing supply and demand as the percentage of renewables supplying power to the UK’s electricity grid continues to increase. The facility is expected to achieve carbon payback in around six months.
The planning system treats a pumped storage scheme such as that at Glyn Rhowny in just the same way as a conventional power station – even though the two types of facilities are self-evidently very different.
Although Gwynedd Council having consulted other local stakeholders also gave their assent to the original scheme; under current planning law installations under 50 MW in output are determined by the relevant local authority, while those with outputs larger than 50 MW are determined by the UK Planning Inspectorate. The development will constitute a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project (NSIP) under the Planning Act 2008 and SPH must apply to the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change for a Development Consent Order (DCO).
With construction work due to begin at the site next year, the application to amend the output of the scheme is being made to the UK Planning Inspectorate.
