Storage of electricity is arousing fresh interest as a complement to intermittent generation and an alternative to costly grid expansion plans. Given the rapid increase in RES (mainly wind) generation and the obstacles to construction of new lines and even to an upgrading of the existing ones, TSOs and energy companies are looking for alternatives. Alternative solutions are:
1. Reinforcement of the networks
2. Greater flexibility of existing generators, e.g. CCGTs
3. Electricity storage via hydro systems (pumping stations)
4. Other techniques of electricity storage: compressed air and car-type batteries
5. Demand response (possibly accompanied by diffusion of electric vehicles)
Which alternative looks most promising?
Should the solution be left to market forces or are there regulatory choices to be made?

One of the small bedrooms in my house was remodeled by us to hold all of the small parts. All the design work was done by my wife with the exception of the decision to use the sterite drawers and their arrangement, and (as you will see in other images) the brick crown molding, which I conceived and executed.
The work on this room (and all of our Lego Storage even areas not shown) was completed between mid Feb and mid May 2012.
Finished state. Clockwise - Red - Green - Yellow - Blue walls.
Not often seen at public events are the deep storage sheds at Lathalmond. Plenty of green on display: a Bristol Omnibus MW on the left, a Croft-bodied Daimler of Dundee Corporation, now owned by Dundee City Council, and an Austin LD van. Hiding behind it is a Crossley-bodied AEC Regent V, new to Aberdeen and therefore also originally green. It is either HRS207 or HRS209.

Typical storage boxes contain your items, but the inside becomes cluttered – making it difficult to find what you need. Rubbermaid’s Bento collection is designed to organize items, rather than just store them. The Bento Boxes have internal flex dividers, which enable you to divide the space by creating unique sections when needed. Boxes can stack vertically, or fit inside each other. Bento Trays can act as trays or covers, providing an extra layer of organization for the Bento Boxes, or hiding what’s inside. The Bento Collection is made from sturdy materials, and the heavy-duty decorative fabric enables it to remain out in your social spaces while complementing your home’s décor.

I'm moving pretty soon, and all my Lego has to go into storage. Here's my partially deconstructed UCS ISD, which will be stored in a drawer.
Collection of my current storage. It is totally over 4.75TB presently. Can't believe how technology is coming along over the past few years.

This used to be farmland. Much of the area to the north is still cranberry bog. The Port now owns the land, and is exempt from the usual provincially legislated restrictions on the use of agricultural land. Actually this section was for a long time a tip - for all kinds of solid waste, especially construction waste. Much of it illegal. So now it has been levelled with river dredged sand, capped with concrete and used for container storage. The traffic has been mostly one way - manufactured goods imported in containers. Our exports are mostly in bulk. So there are piles of spare boxes - and increasing demand for land to store them. Delta farmland, now in food production, is the next slated for this use.
The fact that this is highly desirable waterfront property matters not at all. This is the "highest and best use" according to our values.
