GONE - We put a picture of this replica of an old type-face organizer last week, but we think the scale was misleading. It's actually quite a decent size; you don't need to collect 20-sided dice for it to be useful. 90cm by 45 cm by 12 cm deep

I have a couple of unused drive bays in my new computer, so I added this storage drawer that I found at Microcenter. It will be a handy place to keep important accessories.

One of the small bedrooms in my house was remodeled by us to hold all of the small parts. All the design work was done by my wife with the exception of the decision to use the sterite drawers and their arrangement, and (as you will see in other images) the brick crown molding, which I conceived and executed.
The work on this room (and all of our Lego Storage even areas not shown) was completed between mid Feb and mid May 2012.

I found this book in a stash of storage stuff I had kept over at my old apartment's storage area. There's some other stuff over there and I haven't lived there in 3+ years. No one monitors it.
Anyway, I found this wedding crafting book in thie plastic crate and had a Huh? moment. I'm pretty sure my mom had purchased this book at one time for inspiration (1992, to be exact, when my sister got married). There are all kinda ideas in there for making floral arrangements, headresses, hats, pillows, etc. All utterly hideous!
I can't imagine people being able to keep a straight face seeing this girl walk down the aisle. I think the groom would run away as fast as he could.
I appreciate a little tacky every now and then, but this is totally beyond my sensiblities.

Seen here at Walters' storage yard at Aynho on 17th August 2009 is this matching pair of Bedford / Plaxton buses which stayed together for their entire working life. They had been new to Tillingbourne as E216 MFX and E215 MFX respectively and had carried the private registrations HDZ 102 and HDZ 101 whilst working for Hylton and Dawson of Leicester.
The beautiful Art Deco self storage building rising behind Chevron was built in 1929. Los Angeles, CA, 2008.

Storage of electricity is arousing fresh interest as a complement to intermittent generation and an alternative to costly grid expansion plans. Given the rapid increase in RES (mainly wind) generation and the obstacles to construction of new lines and even to an upgrading of the existing ones, TSOs and energy companies are looking for alternatives. Alternative solutions are:
1. Reinforcement of the networks
2. Greater flexibility of existing generators, e.g. CCGTs
3. Electricity storage via hydro systems (pumping stations)
4. Other techniques of electricity storage: compressed air and car-type batteries
5. Demand response (possibly accompanied by diffusion of electric vehicles)
Which alternative looks most promising?
Should the solution be left to market forces or are there regulatory choices to be made?

Hydrogen storage materials research at Savannah River National Laboratory.
The Savannah River National Laboratory has teamed with Aiken County, South Carolina to establish a new laboratory at the Savannah River Research Campus, a county- owned research park adjacent to the Savannah River Site. Aiken County designed, constructed and will maintain the 60,000 square foot Center for Hydrogen Research ( CHR) with the intent of leasing half of the facility to SRNL to house their Hydrogen Technology Research Lab (HTRL) houses SRNL's unclassified, nonradioactive R&D on hydrogen storage, processing, production and detection in support of both the National Nuclear Security Administration and hydrogen energy programs.
