After 23K miles we no longer take the stools. They just weren't used enough.

From an abandoned mental institution in Norway. One year after my first visit, I went back with new camera (Canon 5D mII) together with Martin and Geir.

Great day. Went through all three buildings. Sad to see them even more vandalised than last time. I tried to shoot other things than corridors and rooms, but I guess I will upload a couple of those as well.

Info about the place: Parts of Lier Psychiatric Hospital was closed in 1986 and are still abandoned. It is located outside Oslo in Norway.

Here the doctors tested new medicins and ways to help the patients. Lobotomy, electroshock and drugs like LSD was used.

It's a spooky place with a very interesting history.

Propeller base industrial office stools c 1950s

The depression in this stool is, presumably, to make it more comfortable to sit on.

I've been really busy with work since September, then also had to move in that mix, so I've not had time to spend as I've liked. Finally found all my good stuff, and decided to do a quick shoot!

Another well-known Lakeland farm; the last outpost before the climb up to the high fells at the head of Langdale.

GONE - This is a fun, colorful, unusual stool that is quite comfortable to sit on. The carpet-type material is hand-woven, and it is not at all hot or scratchy as some of this type are. It is very solid, not squishy, and it also has convenient little mini-feet on the bottom!

Folding stool made with necktie seat. Matching necktie rug.

this stool uses two simple frames with wooden slats connecting them. the width of the slats increase as it flows around the frame.

as for the proportions it was expected that 'the screen' t.v and computer is something people are most exposed to as of now, and they'll receive with decent visual comfort. after the right ergonomics was worked out it one side was given a proportion of 9:16 and the other 3:4.

Thrift score -- days after admiring a Grant Featherston stool that some mad person wanted $2,600 for, I found this one at a cheap-o vintage shop. I brought it home on the bus today.

These GORGEOUS stools, in the style of Arthur Umanoff, were a bit rusty and dirty. I knew they would go perfectly in our studio. A little (or a lot) of steel wool and they are shining again.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN - These two industrial stools are a fun way to bring some hard-edged industrial chic into your apartment without sacrificing floor space. They can do double-duty as side tables until a party calls for extra seating. The stool on the left is adjustable.

a couple of small stools from a Danish shop... I have forgotten the name of the shop...*hmm*

Cherry seat and bracing, Painted poplar legs

• 30 inch high seat

• round dished stool seat

• pitchfork back

• swivel

• cherry, ash and steel

Do you ever get that crick in your back right after you've levered someone else's thoracic cavity open and had at their heart and lungs for a while, and you just need to sit down and have a Milo and a small packet of Jacob's biscuits? These stools are there for you. Wash your hands, though. Again.
