Did a quick shoot for a friend of mine yesterday. I took this when my friend was setting up the amp on some logs. By the way its a pretty heavy amp, lol.

This is a step stool I made for my daughter.
It is based on the design featured in Fine Woodworking Magazine (Jan/Feb 2009).
I made the stool out of poplar, which I then bleached using a pickling stain. I painted on some grass to give it a definite "kid's stool" look, and finished off with 4 coats of satin-finish polyurethane.
This was my first attempt at hand-cut dove tail joints. The joints could have been cleaner, but overall I'm happy with the results.
The stool looks like it was a somebody's DIY project. Look how the top is attached to the base.
The base is solid wood. And it SPINS!!! The design of the top is fishy, but some cute fabric will make a huge difference.

Hi, my name is Laurie, I'm from Montreal, and I do upcycled art with the name La Luna créations. Sorry for my English, I'll do my best to explain my project. I made these mosaics on the log with upcycled ceramics that were supposed to go to the dumping ground. I reuse old logs from dead trees, to make a table or a bench that we can sit on. There are multiple uses for that object. It takes me about two days to make one mosaic. I feel like it's a good way to reuse log and ceramics which I have contacts to find here in Montreal before they go in the garbage.
