...that I could just stay home all day and knit on my sweater.
Alas, today is a long day, too. Tutoring from 9am-11am, then a department talk, then meeting with students, then trying to wrap up my section of a draft for a journal paper, then possibly coming home for dinner, then more grant-writing class, til at least 9pm. Ooof.
Concert went alright yesterday. Bus broke down on the way back, which meant getting back even later than we were supposed to, but I made a new friend in my section, which made it a lot better. And I got to listen to a super-sweet voicemail from my brother, who always makes me feel better. Still, I am absurdly tired. And I just wanna knit.
Day 6: Oliver the Egg stayed home today. He was browsing through some photos uploaded by his friends when he found one he liked so much he wanted to copy it. I advised him against it but he was not hearing anything I said. This is what he came up with.
Strobist info: Cross flash provided by two Vivitar 285's with home-made CTO gels. A third flash with a CTO gel and a home-made Honl like bounce card was used front top as a fill. Each flash was triggered by a cybersync receiver.

Stayed home from the Saturday night. Went to go to the gym and worked out shoulders and tried. Went home sleepy sleepy sleepy.
Stayed home from school because I am sick, got a little bored so I decided to practicing taking and editing portraits, it was a bit challenging since I was the only subject.
W stayed home from school this Monday morning. Thursday night he and hubby went to the circus (no, I do not believe that animals should be locked in like that) and had to take a cab home in the middle of the performance since W started sneezing a lot after the dogs came out. (His class was going to the circus Friday so I wanted them to get the chance to clean the premises a bit before he comes back.)
Oh yeah. I´m keeping my fingers crossed that it was the hay on the ground that made him react this way since it´s done that before, but since I´ve been allergic towards furred animals since I was a child I´ve always known that it could be the case with my son as well. Fortunately I´ve been very talkative when it comes to this subject through the years so he wasn´t that upset.
Above you se W tired of his mom wanting to play Old Maid instead of other fun games haha. I got nostalgic - these children was on the cards when I was a child as well!

Stayed home fom work today because of yet another snow and ice storm. Man I hate this winter, nothing but shoveling snow, and the worst kind, it was packed down with ice so it was extra heavy.
This shot is dedicated to Paulie Walnuts and Christopher Maltasani. while shoveling I came acroos these props in my car and thought of this. It was the funnest Sorprano episode when paul and Chris got stranded in the Pine Barrons in New Jersey trying to kill that Russian. All they had to eat was ketchup and M & M 's. And Paulie lost his shoe.
Hopefully tomorrow is a better day.
