This is my first 'political' statement.

In my opinion this is one of the most important human rights. This is my point of view. This picture is meant to express my feelings. Give voice to your thoughts !

Street art down a dingey alleyway in York UK

Artist: Chuck Olson

Artist Statement: “‘Evening Star’ expresses the forces of nature and reveals movements in wind, rock, water, and light in conditions of both harmony and confrontation. An image can have many lives, and “Evening Star” is no exception. It is a painting. It is a lithograph. In Buckhannon, West Virginia it has become a wall. Here, elements of the lithographic version have been reassembled and enlarged to provide a more “heroic” experience of the content. The scale of this installation stresses the emotional forces of nature, far larger than the observer on the street, and presents us with constantly evolving forms. It carries elements that one can easily find in the surrounding hills, rivers, and sky of this community. It also challenges us to recognize, perhaps, the forces of life inside and outside of each one of us.”

Artist's Statement:

In this painting, I sought to capture the delicate beauty and raw power of winter's frozen landscape. The interplay of cool blues, soft greens, and rich reddish-browns evokes a sense of fragility, where nature is both still and teeming with potential danger. The cracked surface of the water, frozen yet hinting at what lies beneath, serves as a metaphor for the fragile barrier between the visible and the unknown, the serene and the threatening.

The hoar frosted plant, a dock weed caught in the grip of winter, stands as a testament to resilience, its delicate structure encased in frost and snow, shimmering like a jewel under the low, golden light of the afternoon sun. The light itself is a key element—glowing with a magical warmth, creating an ethereal, almost otherworldly atmosphere. It is as though the world holds its breath, caught between the quiet beauty of a moment and the icy threat of what lies below.

The juxtaposition of the tranquil, sparkling surface with the depth and mystery suggested by the rich blues invites the viewer to consider the tension between nature’s elegance and its underlying power. The frozen water, with its cracked and fractured surface, hints at the unseen forces beneath, suggesting a fragile calm before the storm. Through this piece, I aim to evoke a moment frozen in time, where nature’s duality—its serenity and its danger—can be experienced in a single, mesmerizing glance.

Whatever ones opinion about "Religion" as expressed by the

Catholic Church in Europe, there most certainly was no

limit on Ornamentation as an expression of Holiness.

Modernism?, certainly not.

Impressively ornate and beautiful to view- that's for sure.

Cathedral Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Terco e Caridade built 1755 -1759, Rua de Cimo de Vila 36 C Porto Portugal.

Facing West, on a very narrow, curiously "sketchy-looking" inclined street not far from The Historic Sao Bento Train Station in PORTO, this church

now is used to feed the homeless and poor.

Many of the small shops that line Rua de Cimo de Vila,

are an eclectic mix of

Old-School Leather-Craftsman,

Indian Barber-Shops,

"Indian" (Bangladeshi/Pakistani/Nepalese/ Indian )

Halal Butches and Grocers,

and several Restaurants frequented by

mostly Indian men, serving tasty Samosa, Chai

and other dishes that you'll see being eaten

"by hand" (literally), a dining technique that

many Westerners find......off-putting

yet in India and Africa, and Indonesia- how they roll.

As you can see he took his pics in the same sim but their look a bit different that mine because he proccess and edit in his own way. In other words... he is less complicated hahaha.

Settings & Photoshop:

For settings no particles and remove any option you may no need... specially draw distance. If you use 200m of distance plus shadows you will crash.

For windlight always try the one by default which means the one made by the owner of the sim because probably will be the best choice... in this case it was.

+ Local Lights Off

+ Draw Distance: 20m

+ Particles Off

+ Sky: 16

+ Water Off

+ Objects and Sculpts: 15

+ Antialiasing on: 16x

+ Shadows On: 2

+ Windlight: Default

For Photoshop I use my senses. I do not have a method or formula just try to keep sharpen, grain and color in armony...

Be careful with the saturation and tone... what does look good on your screen may don't in others... always test your job.

In this one I was a little afraid because my screen it's a bit bright and if I connect my TV, by example, color change completely so always makes me wonder how does it look in each screen in the world... yes I'm a bit perfectionist.

Now a few things that I did were:

+ Add sharpen

+ Add grain

+ Add borders

+ Add layers
