In spring 2024, the Museum at FIT continued its annual collaboration with PS 33 and FIT’s Childrenswear classes to bring fashion-focused program2-22ming into a local kindergarten classroom. The program was organized in partnership with teaching artist Gabriela Galván, who developed a series of lessons inspired by the MFIT exhibition Statement Sleeves.
Titled Sleeves Are Fun, the program aimed to highlight sleeves as both a functional and playful element of fashion design. Students learned to identify different types of sleeves, understand their functions and shapes, and distinguish styles suited to various seasons and purposes.
The program also involved FIT professor Lauren Zodel, whose Explorations in Childrenswear students joined museum staff in the classroom. They created specialty sleeves for the kindergartners to explore and designed their final dress projects based on these interactions. The completed garments were later displayed in the MFIT lobby.
Project Statement: This project is interested in the notion of memories and how they can be altered without our own knowledge. It also expresses how photography isn’t as objective as many believe and is often manipulated to prove or disprove somebody’s own personal views. A famous example of this is Stalin’s use of photography to wipe faces from history (vanishing commissar by David King). It attempts to visually represent this through surrealism, taking photographs of mundane situations such as rain and transforming it into something different. Additionally, it shows visually how bad photography is at documentation through out of focus imagery and having the photographs in monochrome.

On 13 November 2024, the UN Resident Coordinator in Thailand convened 59 University Presidents and their representatives under the Sustainable University Network (SUN Network) and Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT), to sign the Statement of Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand witnessed the signing ceremony and expressed support for the commitment made to enhance greening higher education and the outcomes of the Summit of the Future, as well as to promote the role of young people as active agents of change.
Emphasising the significant milestone made by 59 signatory universities across Thailand, the panel discussion on 'Universities for Tomorrow: Greening Higher Education' further noted the crucial role of universities in advancing the SDGs, partnerships for impact, along with the recognition of youth leadership in addressing sustainable development challenges.
The event was also attended by representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Global Compact Network Thailand, and university-level Model UN clubs.

ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดของประเทศไทยกำหนดจะเข้าร่วมพิธีการลงนามในประกาศเจตนารมณ์เพื่อประเทศไทยที่ยั่งยืน (Statement of Commitment to Sustainable Thailand) ในวันที่ 6 มิถุนายน 2565 ณ ศูนย์ประชุมสหประชาชาติ กรุงเทพมหานคร เพื่อแสดงเจตจำนงที่จะพัฒนาขีดความสามารถและความตระหนักด้านการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนภายในจังหวัด ผ่านการร่วมมือกับสหประชาชาติและพันธมิตรต่าง ๆ พร้อมสนับสนุนเจตจำนงอันแน่วแน่ของประเทศไทยในการบรรลุเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน และความมุ่งหมายที่จะก้าวขึ้นเป็นประเทศที่มีรายได้สูง มีการพัฒนาที่ครอบคลุม ยั่งยืน มีภูมิคุ้มกัน และมีความก้าวหน้า ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับยุทธศาสตร์ชาติ 20 ปี และร่างแผนพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจและสังคมแห่งชาติฉบับที่ 13 และโมเดลเศรษฐกิจชีวภาพ-เศรษฐกิจหมุนเวียน-เศรษฐกิจสีเขียว (BCG)
