My wife and I took a trip up to Vancouver for our anniversary, and on the way back we stopped by Washington's Larrabee State Park. One of our guidebooks commented that it is also referred to as "Little Sur," in comparison to California's Big Sur area. I don't know if that's a good comparison or not, since we took most of the drive in the dark, but it seems odd given that most of the drive was forested. When you enter the park from the north end there's a beach area you can access that has a few different viewpoints; this was the first one we hit.
I'm not even going to make any claims about whether this is true to what the eye would've seen, because I think it's pretty obviously not ;) but I did have fun processing it in Oloneo HDREngine and then playing with it some more with my shiny new copy of Photoshop CS6. A shame about the alignment problems, although I think they're only really noticeable on the mountains in the background... I really need to hack a device or something to do more than just +-1 bracketing automatically, because no matter how delicate I am it seems impossible for me to fiddle with the exposure without moving it.
(Since Photoshop blew away the EXIF: ISO200 f/8; the metered exposure was 1/250.)
Colorado State University students are honored at the 6th Annual Community for Excellence, C4E, graduation celebration, March 24, 2016. C4E is a CSU collaborative effort to assist a group of nearly 1000 students at CSU who have been part of our access pipeline and are recipients of CSU awards. The honor of the award not only includes financial support, but also a dedicated CSU staff member who will support and encourage students from admission through graduation.

State Capitol, SLC, UT
The first capitol building of Utah was built in Filmore, but it was only used for that purpose for one year. Later the Salt Lake City Council Hall served as meeting place for the legislature. The statehood was granted to Utah in 1896.
The Salt Lake City and County Building served as the capitol building until 1916, the year when the present building was finished.
The Capitol, which is 404 feet (123 m) long, 240 feet (73 m) wide was built between 1912 and 1916. The granite of the building and the copper of the dome are both from Utah. An extensive and expansive reconstruction took place between 2004 and 2008.
In the movie Legally Blonde 2 Utah State Capitol was used for exterior and interior shots of the U.S. Capitol.

Secretary of State Ralph Mollis welcomes fourth-graders from Matunuck Elementary School in South Kingstown to the State House. Our office took the students on a backstage tour that included visits to the ornate State Room, a life-size replica of the historic Liberty Bell and a cannon that Rhode Islanders used in the battle of Gettysburg.
