معنی واژه #Standard
اِستاندارد(Standard) واژه ای ایرانی است و واژه انگلیسی(لاتین) و فرانسوی آن برگرفته شده از فارسی است!
پس نیازی نیست برای آن برابر پارسی در نظر گرفته شود!
این واژه در آغاز اُستاندارَد:
شهری که از آن نگهداری شود!
سپس به اِستاندارَد دگرگون یافت:
اِستان: در فارسی باستان: سِتانه-سِتاندَن، گرفتن، مال خود کردن، بدست آوردن-ایستادن و پایدار ماندن
جایی که بگیرند و با پرچم و شاخصی آن را ایالت (شهر) کنند و از آن پایش و نگهبانی کنند!

Standard Drug was a company based in my hometown of Richmond, Virginia. I spent hours of my formative years reading Creem and Circus magazines at the Lakeside Avenue location - which still exists today as a CVS.

The Standard building is another Vancouver heritage building located on the 500 block of Hastings Street and Richard's.
It was built in 1912 and houses offices, language schools, and probably the nicest and most spacious Blenz coffee shop I know of.
Makes me feel like another latte right now :-)
