Nearly all gone, but it was good to sit down and have a pint at home.

Miss Forestville 2018 Contestant Micayla Barrows during the Miss Bristol/Forestville Pageant held at the Chippens Hill Middle School Saturday night.
I could only take a few photos before the show actually began without risking of catching the security's attention.
I like it. This captures both some of the atmosphere of the New Amsterdam Theater and the excitement over the show about to start.
Blast 92 was the 2nd year of a 2 year run of the Sid and Marty Krofft blacklight and marionette show for Six Flags Astroworld. It was performed in the Showcase Theater and I was a puppeteer / dancer.
This was the show look when house opened. At the top of the show, the letters would all flay away.

Sigrid Raabe, a local artist, played at Jugendfest this year. She was very taken back by the huge crowd and the reaction to her performance. It was very sweet and charming.
And I love her sweater!

On stage at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London.
They played the whole of their Humbug album, plus some B-sides and a Nick Cave cover. I've seen them a couple of times at festivals and been a bit disappointed - I think they lack the presence for a big stage. Too many long gaps between songs without any chat.
They were much, much better in this smaller venue though. The sound was first rate and the first couple of songs (My Propeller / Crying Lightning) were really dark, intimidating and scary. Good stuff!
I can also report that level one seating is definitely the way forward at the SBE. Much better view ... or maybe I'm just getting old.
