Four years to the day since the very first time I saw Sigrid as a 16 year old perform at Jugendfest. She awed me, and the entire Colorline stadium, with her performance. Ålesund is her hometown, and they welcomed her with open arms. It was a bit moving, actually.
It's amazing to see how far she's come. As you can see in these photos, not only is she energetic, charming and just delightful on stage, she has great songs, a great voice and is putting out hit singles, visiting the world's biggest talkshows and performing at festivals like Coachella.
I gave her performance a 6 out 6 possible points. She deserved it.

The hazards of producing a slasher play. The inside of the box was dry when i took it apart to clean it though. Its now raised off the floor a bit and has some shielding from blood splatter.

BBQ Across America Tour
So as it has seemed as though i disapeared for a while, I am back with updates on where the heck I went! These past two month has blessed me so much with work and some great news. After coming back from California in the first 2 weeks of July, I went on Tour w/ my good buddies of the The Dangerous Summer. The tour was with Ace Enders, Person L, The Gay Blades, and School Boy Humor. The tour was a blast was such a great opportunity to meet people and do some traveling, and I must say, ive gained some great friends through it all. Now that Im finally home, i've been really busy with shoots that were booked while on tour, and thankfully enough they keep coming. I have some huge news coming soon so please keep checking and thank you for your support.
Legendary Olympia hardcore punk meets noise band Behead the Prophet No Lord Shall Live recently reunited for a short west coast tour and tore up everything in their path as only they can. The Portland OR show was at Slabtown, and I was upfront in the slam pit with my holga shooting and forwarding as much as I could when not ducking and dodging flying bodies. It was one hell of a fun show!
This particular double exposure of singer Joshua Ploeg was chosen by the staff at Blue Moon Camera and Machine to be in their next annual Customer Show!

Built in 1935, this has to be one of the finest church halls in the area. There have only been subtle changes over the years, such as the form of lighting. However, to me the biggest change has to be the loss of the original stage curtains. I have just three pictures in FLICKR which show them (just) Since this picture was taken, the wall around the stage proscenium arch has been re-painted a darker colour, as it had been before. ( Although the "before" was only done in the 1960's if that makes sense ! )
DragonForce had a really nice balance of stagelighting and daylight during their set, especially for the first few songs. After that, they received light from the setting sun that was just a little too hot, but regardless, this was a great performance to photograph.
I highly recommend these guys to any concert photographers. They make our job a little easier.

Legendary Olympia hardcore punk meets noise band Behead the Prophet No Lord Shall Live recently reunited for a short west coast tour and tore up everything in their path as only they can. The Portland OR show was at Slabtown, and I was upfront in the slam pit with my holga shooting and forwarding as much as I could when not ducking and dodging flying bodies. It was one hell of a fun show!
The guitarist being decapitated in this shot was an accident of shooting on the mosh, but given the band's name is rather poetic.
