The Mini Driver Band played at a private costume party. I especially enjoyed the stage lighting that danced around the dark lit room and dance floor. It was tricky lighting but provided some outstanding, colorful shots.

The quiet center of a harsh frequency.
A rare moment of deep reservedness during a live performance by the rhythmic noise duo Nullmaschine. While the room is filled with the fast, loud, and uncompromising energy of their music, the lens captures a calm, almost meditative stillness.
The high-contrast lighting frames Rico (Maschinenkrieger KR52) as a focal point of intense focus. On the left, barely visible in the shadows, is the silhouette of Stefan (Nullvektor), the other half of the machine.
It is a study in the discipline required to control noise—where the most aggressive sounds are often created from a place of absolute, silent precision.
Can a photograph truly capture the volume of a moment, or does the silence of the image always change the story?

The air inside the Spiegeltent is thick with the charged, vintage electricity unique to Spiegelworld’s Empire. Velvet curtains, flickering stage lights, and the faint murmur of an enchanted audience set the stage, but everything else falls into shadow the moment she steps into the light.
Suspended within a crystal-clear aerial sphere, the performer moves not against gravity, but in absolute, fluid harmony with it. In a striking black-and-white moment frozen in time, she extends into a flawless, razor-sharp horizontal split, her limbs spanning the diameter of the transparent globe. Every line is intentional; every curve of her spine reflects an extraordinary balance of sheer athletic strength and weightless elegance.
The curved, reflective surfaces of the sphere catch the intense glare of the stage lights, casting warped, shimmering flares across the pitch-black void around her. Against the dark backdrop, the sharp contrast highlights the fine details of her performance—the delicate texture of fishnet tights, the slight arch of her back, and a serene, subtle smile that makes the impossible look effortlessly graceful. It’s a breathtaking fusion of classic circus contortion, modern cabaret flair, and striking visual geometry—a quiet moment of pure artistic control amidst the chaotic magic of the show.

... be certain to add a native dance show to your itinerary. This lovely dancer "dances" with precision with her hands, feet, facial expressions, well, her whole body. It takes years to master the dances of Asia. I still have vivid memories of the dances I have seen in India, Cambodia and Indonesia. This incredibly graceful, delicate dancer was seen in Indonesia.

Normally if I process a shot, I try to increase detail as much as I can get away with, but here I took the opposite approach, in hopes of enhancing the ethereal qualities of the photo (mostly thanks to the venue/stage lighting). Taken at Cuisine En Locale in Somerville MA.

He has also carved out a solid solo career, releasing 8 critically acclaimed albums and garnering a ton of attention for his songwriting in particular. Schermer’s songs have been covered by blues award recipients Tommy Castro, Billy Price and the late Frank Bey to name just a few. His autobiographical single “My Big Sister’s Radio” was recently hand-picked by none other than Bruce Springsteen to be included in The Boss’s “From My House to Yours” on Sirius/XM’s and is now in regular rotation! His songs and albums have been nominated for multiple awards and he has performed in all 50 US States and 25 countries around the world in a journey that is far from over.
