I had the very great pleasure to share a special day on Saturday courtesy of Steve (tankerman) as second shooter at a wedding. It was a hard day, but a great day. The fun for me was as second shooter I got some of the shots that Steve could not see. Although he got a fair few candid shot as well. This one Ihas got to be up there with my top shot of the night. Now in her PJ's this little girl decided to take one last walk across the front of the stage, and that is how she is lit, with a little from the strobe at 1/64th this shot just captures what a family event really means seen through a child's eye.
So thank you Steve, and here's to the next one.

So wonderful to shoot a gig again! Marion Ravn delivered two great sets in Molde February 27th 2021. Offspring and I stayed for both. A great coincidence that I went back to Molde in the same week that she played there. I needed this.
This is the interior of the Envy Nightlife nightclub located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, by I-5 Design & Manufacture. The lighting for the oval shaped structure is spectacular; radiating outward is an array of LED tubes that are capable of displaying everything from large-scale videos to intricately designed effects that can range from a pounding heartbeat to a whirling cyclone of movement and energy. This wasn’t Hawaiian Jake Shimabukuro’s first visit to the Byron Bay Bluesfest, but it was the first time I’d seen the boundary-crossing ukulele virtuoso. I have seen some of his re-worked classics on Youtube. His instrumental compilation including Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’ and Franz Schubert’s ‘Ave Maria’ had me in tears.

The Ipswich City Big Band is a community based jazz big band that regularly performs in Ipswich and Brisbane engaging in both community and private functions.
