We drove on Old Route 66 in Springfield Illinois. We looked at the Capital as we drove by since there was not a parking space for an RV to be found.

I was in Springfield MO all of this week! Got a chance to stop by the 1st national Bass Pro Shop in the USA. SUPER COOL!
Built in 1895, the station still serves Amtrak today.
It could stand to see some transit-oriented development around it, but overall it's great to see a well-located, urban station.
