Girl in a Wetsuit is a life size bronze sculpture by Elek Imredy of a woman in a wetsuit, located on a rock in the water along the north side of Stanley Park. The statue was inspired by the famous Copenhagen mermaid.

Just back from my first trip to Denali this year. Found a sow with spring cubs, unfortunately, there was always some willows I was shooting thru.
Earlier this week, I posted a shot of two Dartmoor Pony foals. Not long after I took that shot, the two foals took off, galloping around the moor in circles. It was a wonderful sight, and they were obviously enjoying the spring sunshine.
Still inking up these lovely blooms from the SSS "Even more Spring Flowers" set. The colours were inspired by my garden at the moment, lots of yellows, purples and oranges. Adding this to the current SSS Flower Challenge. Blogged here
The light winds and calm weather made for perfect conditions to show the spring tide flooding the marshes from above.

This was shot with the 85mm, but keep in mind it's full frame now. The squirrel let me get really close, just staring. I was about 2 feet from him, a bit scared that he would just decide to pounce on my head. I was originally on the other side of the branch but the light wasn't that great, i walked around hoping not to scare him and he followed right along, keeping eye contact.
This squirrel needs to give my kids some lessons.
Nene Park - I know it's that bridge again but the clouds, the dark cedar tree? and the new willow growth colour was so beautiful.....

Diaperia verna, common names spring pygmycudweed,[2] spring rabbit-tobacco or many-stem rabbit-tobacco, is a plant species in the sunflower family, native to northern Mexico (from Sonora to Tamaulipas) and the southern United States (from Arizona to Louisiana, with isolated populations (possibly introductions) in Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina).
Diaperia verna is an herb with greenish or grayish leaves due to a coating of woolly hairs. One plant usually produces several flower heads, the corollas hidden by surrounding bracts.[3]
