I had the 6 foot ladder set up in the living room to take the A/C registers (vent louvers) down from the ceiling for some spring cleaning. After I took one down and took it to the kitchen sink, I returned to find that Milo had decided to give me a hand...^+^
No great photography here...just some snapshots that I grabbed as quick as I could! I wish I had had something besides the 100mm macro lens on the camera, so that I could have backed up a bit, but I just didn't have time to be changing lens.
Happy Furry Friday!!!

Our spare room has been filled with half-dead computers and boxes of parts and cables for a little while since we had a few hardware failures in a row that I had to work around. I finally set about cleaning it up and realized that I've been hoarding computer parts and cables for the good part of a decade.
So I've spread it all out, in part to decide what very small percentage to keep, and in part to post here to embarrass myself into doing something about it.
My grill was in need of some maintenance. The flame was yellow, sooty and weak. Caused all our food to turn gray and taste bad. My igniter also died about a year ago and I'd been using a lighter to start my grill.
took some time today to put in a new igniter, cleaned the grates and also cleaned out the spider screens.
“We love the house on this 1949 cover by artist John Falter. This is one busy household! Hauling out trash, washing windows, cleaning rugs. And a passerby who just can’t help nosing through the trash for treasure. That’s a rather precarious position for the poor guy trying to get hold of the storm window. The artist said he would go through this routine with his father every spring and ‘invariably a sudden wind would come up at precisely the wrong moment,’ bending his father back at a perilous angle. We’re happy to report the elder Mr. Falter never toppled off the ladder.” [From The Saturday Evening Post Weekly Newsletter, May 15, 2010.]
“Spring cleaning has ancient origins. While the specific customs and practices may vary across cultures, the underlying themes of purification, preparation for new beginnings, and celebration of spring’s arrival remain central to this enduring tradition.” – National Geographic.
I was trying to clear out the contents of this box which included a Valerian cat toy and a bag of dried catnip. Little Burrito finds Trixie's love for boxes and catnip very puzzling!
After spending much of the winter in hibernation, Danger Ted was in dire need of a spring clean.

Yesterday was a total cleaning day. After breakfast, church and the grocery store, I got down 'n' dirty. I'm talking moving the couch out to sweep and mop behind it, scarf wrapped around the head, wake up sore the next morning kind of cleaning. Our house is always "clean", but you still have to dust, sweep, mop and vacuum "clean" houses. It took me about three hours, but the end result was very satisfying. And very painful. My legs are sore this morning. How do you get sore from cleaning??

And hopefully a healthy one too. Once a year everything in the bunny mansion gets completely removed, dismantled, washed, sterilized, and re-assembled. This year's improvements include a padded foam floor, renewed sacrificial (anti-nibble) strips, condo back-splashes, pass through pellet feeders, and Minnie gets a side splash-guard as well as corner urine guards for her litter-box. In this photo Bandit is happy to finally be back home and heads straight for the pellet dispenser; it's chow-chow time needless to say.
Because I'm on so much medication and supplements with my assorted "issues" - at the very least taking 15 assorted vitamins, minerals and meds each night - my naturopath suggested I undergo a detox program to flush out my liver, kidneys and adrenal system which have all been pretty much exhausted over years of abuse. If it makes me feel in any way closer to "fresh and clean" inside, I'm all for it!

Last time the boy went out of town, I finished my dissertation. Wonder how much cleaning I can get done before he gets home on Tuesday. Apparently, I'm productive when I'm bored.

Here is the panel of experts that came to the library to talk about cleaning and organizing your home.
May 18
So today was spent doing some serious deep cleaning. My hands are raw from all the cleaning but the windows in the back are all cleaned (outside only for now) Balcony cleaned up, Patio cleaned. Washed my Shark vac it's all nice and clean. Cleaned my air purifier and it's back on and hopefully I will be breathing better (need to get rid of the dog for that to permanently happen!!!) Washed 85% of baseboards downstairs - tracks from sliding glass doors - so you see those pictures would be totally boring so I thought this lovely set of swans at Rogers Gardens would be much more delightful :D One is a planter and the other a fountain - I would love to have them in my yard but not the theme for the wedding - um can we change the theme LOL :D
