Behind the CO2 scrubber module in the space habitat, something built its own habitat!
Spiders are able to weave webs in microgravity. They seem to use light source (assuming it's the Sun up in the sky) as reference.
While doing a deep purge in my apartment in preparation for a deep spring cleaning that will happen later this week, I came across massive quantities of adorable little zippered bags, pouches, and cases. All from Clinique, all "free gift with purchase" premiums after half a lifetime of purchasing Clinique products. There were untold masses of pristine lipsticks inside. Untouched tubes of Rose Spectrum and Pink Chocolate and Violet Berry. They all went away.
"Where should I put my tubs?"
We're not exactly cleaning, but we are trying to clear out our current garage so we decided to rent a storage unit over near our new place until we can make some time to sort through all our boxed stuff.
Oh, by the way, we bought a house and we are moving! Sorry I've been a bit absent here. We closed on Thursday and we have lots to do to get moved, but hopefully soon I'll have more time for dollies and photography!
Eek...I hope I made the deadline! I was so busy typing my description I didn't realize how close it was!

UPDATE:
I am still obsessing about cleaning, purging, organizing... and scaling down. These three books have given me so much inspiration and motivation. I've made THREE trips to Goodwill to donate STUFF (and I'm still not through!) I've even donated some of my BOOKS! Gasp!
I have cleaned out and organized, cabinets, drawers, and closets (three walk-in closets, BTW) that were filled to the brim with things we either no longer need, or that belonged in the trash.
We have lived here 11 years and this is the first time I've really gotten serious about scaling down - it feels SO good!
I know I keep saying I'll be back soon - but I just have a bit more to do. Next up - the garage!
PLEASE, GUYS, NO COMMENTS ARE NECESSARY!
This is just an update to let you know I haven't dropped off the face of the earth.

Ths sofa is an Ikea one, "Niklas". It has feathers in the cushions, and it sheds everytime I change the cover...
So now I've got free Easter deco :-)
The house owner seemed to be doing a rather complete spring cleaning here. Stuff piled up and most of it looked like it was destined for the dump.

Everytime Crate & Barrel has their Wine & Dine sale, I go & get a set from the Mercer line. It's taken me awhile (about 4yrs), but I've finally got a decent amount of dinner plates, salad plates & bowls. Still need more appetizer plates.
I don't like to use disposables, so I like to have enough plates, etc. for parties.
Day 134 of 365: "Spring Cleaning"
What started out as a small project, turned into something much, much bigger. We carried out two SUV-loads of stuff (this was the second load) over a period of about 5 hours.
And that doesn't include the ridiculous amount of paperwork that still has to be shredded.
But getting it done is a huge relief!
Although the Bean Bag Cafe (601 Divisadero) is still going strong, steam cleaning wasn't enough for this beloved cheap eats and beer hangout to keep pace with many of the newer businesses on the Corridor. It has since had a spiffy makeover and still draws large crowds.

Spring cleaning fever = sorting out winter & summer clothes (and accessories like snow boots or mittens), and getting rid of what does fit anymore, what we never wear, what we don't like anymore. The big bag on the right is for charity, the small one is for a friend, and also contains some toys. (March 18th 2009)
