Lest you think we're overzealous, we confine our spring cleaning to just the elk inside the visitor center. We let the rest of the elk out on the Refuge fend for themselves!
The running elk diorama is the one of the most popular displays inside the Jackson Hole & Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center.

During our spring break, we did a big apartment cleaning. We took everything out of the refrigerator and freezer, cleaned it inside and out, and then put everything back. I'm happiest when everything is organized!
Yes, our yard needs a spring clean. Or, more accurately, a complete makeover! And the tap is an unusual shape...although not quite as odd as this obvious error would indicate! Still, I like how the fence turned out and the oxidisation on the tap.

Green Clean Day at the Ross School of Business on Friday May 19, 2013 on a beautiful day in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan.
Every time when you run out of the cleaning agents in your home, it can be quite cumbersome for you to carry on with the cleaning task. You should not be entirely dependent on the artificial cleaners which you get in the market as their absence can put a hault to your work and make the house look dirty. Even the local cleaners in Melbourne suggest their customers to try the homemade cleaners for daily cleaning.
USED. About 4" in height and 2" in diameter in barrel shape. Holds one tealight. Base is brass and glass is a frosted orange in negative space to give you the cool halloween look. Used. One pair available. All Pictures are of the same pair.
I found this while cleaning today. It's unfortunate I never used it. I don't think the stores are around anymore. Pity.
Making ATCs with chocolate easter egg wrappers, fabric flowers and scraps and other stuff lying around. (And not getting distracted from spring cleaning in any way.)
We only see the floor look this good once a year when it is freshly waxed-I love this floor! except for the up-keep
There's an almost inaccessible nook where our closet turns. There's actually storage space back there and nothing is going to stop me from using storage space. It's about as hard to reach as it looks though.
This is a photo of my bookshelf and sink. My sink's really old, is made of cast iron, and is on table legs.
I think it was Elliot Erwitt who said that having a pool right by the edge of the sea must be embarrassing for the pool!
Kits pool is huge, something like 127 meters long - just struck, as long as a 400ft roll of Double X!!!!
Finally put up my quilt design wall (aka two pieces of white felt held up with push pins) and experimented with it.
Decided that I need to find my bigger piece of flannel to use instead!
The much overdue closet cleaning resulted in 7 bags of clothes that I will now take to Goodwill this weekend. May I never wait this long to clear out my closet again!

The pegs are many years old. I used Picasa to crop the photo square. And Paint.NET plus the Color Balance plugin by BoltBait to change the colours a little--from bright and fresh to warm and inviting.
If you look carefully at this maple there is a hole where one of the squirrel's lives. Apparently the furry resident has decided to clean out the nest and has left strange miscellaneous piles on our lawn.
(Mar. 2009) Use your old-school red-cyan 3D glasses to view. This is the last of the Spring Cleaning 2009 series. Yeah, parts are a bit washed out, but I like the layers and confusion of reflections.
Spring Cleaning 2009 Series: Since I haven't been posting very much since I got my new computer and my photos got disorganized, I did a spring cleaning and organized stuff and found some half-decent shots that I had not posted.
Who knew we were so gross?! We don't wear shoes in the flat and I think we keep the place pretty clean - but we still managed to get this grimness out of our carpets. They are lovely now though!
Busy day tidying, moving stuff and cleaning the living room, dining room and hall. I popped up into the village just before lunchtime to drop off a parcel for Tim, pick one up from the delivery office, drop off a bag of clothes at the charity shop, and to grab a couple of sandwiches and a vegan sausage roll from Greggs. I can recommend the latter!
a kind of yucky shot of the tapes in the cans - the light is awful today!
I love my bias tape. it's a magical substance.
My goal was to get through my entire closet. I set the rule that everything had to be tried on unless it had been worn in the last six months. No more skipping over things or stuffing them in the back, saying "Oh, that probably fits. I'm sure I'll wear it again." That strategy meant that I had clothes dating back to my first marriage... a long, long time ago.
I got rid of my caregiver wardrobe (machine-washable jumpers with pockets, to hold prescriptions) and most of my consultant wardrobe. It was hard to part with the consultant clothes -- they were expensive and beautiful. But assuming I ever pick up my Coach briefcase again, I can't go into a meeting looking like this. I had one jacket that almost reached my knees. Why did we dress that way... why??
Now that I think of it, I got rid of almost everything on this list. It went to my favorite thrift store where some teenager will squeal with delight over the 80s treasures she'll find. Yes, I still had a few shoulder-pad classics.
I didn't make it through the whole closet. By the time I reached evening wear, I was exhausted. I'll save that for another day.
While on the topic of keeping oneself up to date, kudos to Pete for telling me about Young@Heart. He sent me a link to their covers of "I Wanna Be Sedated" and "Staying Alive." (Don't miss the female solo -- awesome, funny, heartwarming and heartbreaking.)
I love their version of "Schizophrenia" too. Rock on!
