If you look carefully at this maple there is a hole where one of the squirrel's lives. Apparently the furry resident has decided to clean out the nest and has left strange miscellaneous piles on our lawn.
(Mar. 2009) Use your old-school red-cyan 3D glasses to view. This is the last of the Spring Cleaning 2009 series. Yeah, parts are a bit washed out, but I like the layers and confusion of reflections.

Lest you think we're overzealous, we confine our spring cleaning to just the elk inside the visitor center. We let the rest of the elk out on the Refuge fend for themselves!
The running elk diorama is the one of the most popular displays inside the Jackson Hole & Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center.

Green Clean Day at the Ross School of Business on Friday May 19, 2013 on a beautiful day in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan.
My goal was to get through my entire closet. I set the rule that everything had to be tried on unless it had been worn in the last six months. No more skipping over things or stuffing them in the back, saying "Oh, that probably fits. I'm sure I'll wear it again." That strategy meant that I had clothes dating back to my first marriage... a long, long time ago.
I got rid of my caregiver wardrobe (machine-washable jumpers with pockets, to hold prescriptions) and most of my consultant wardrobe. It was hard to part with the consultant clothes -- they were expensive and beautiful. But assuming I ever pick up my Coach briefcase again, I can't go into a meeting looking like this. I had one jacket that almost reached my knees. Why did we dress that way... why??
Now that I think of it, I got rid of almost everything on this list. It went to my favorite thrift store where some teenager will squeal with delight over the 80s treasures she'll find. Yes, I still had a few shoulder-pad classics.
I didn't make it through the whole closet. By the time I reached evening wear, I was exhausted. I'll save that for another day.
