It certainly didn’t feel like springtime this morning it really was cold and the surprisingly mild winter has fooled these daffodils in “Russell Square” into blooming early.
So another shot slightly different from what I've posted over the last 6 months but I like photographing anything!
Okay so this isn’t the most original of crops or daffodil for that matter but the low winter sun really does create some nice light (it’s got to be one of the best things about winter) and I really did like the way that the sun was highlighting the petals on this daff.
A slightly tighter crop that I would have liked but there was another daff immediately to the right and I didn’t want this in the shot.
Enjoy the rest of the week

December first brought warm weather and temperatures of seventy! The turtles were out and Spring Peepers calling. I would have thought it was springtime but the birds were definitely winter :)
New leaves on a crape myrtle tree. The blossoms from this tree are white, and it sits in my wife's and my front yard.

So, as you can tell I'm working hard on perfecting a vintage effect with GIMP. I'll probably continue to try as vintage seems to be in and I love old things (if you couldn't tell by now). So have patience with me as I learn :)
I'm super excited it's March already! I'm beginning month 10 of 12 which is awesome but best of all, this means spring is on it's way! As mother nature (a long time ago when I was still dating Garry's friend Gregg, we three decided I was mother nature, Garry was father time, and Gregg was death) I crave spring time again. I can't wait to wear nice clothes, skirts, heels, no jacket...to not worry about snow or death anymore. I totally can't wait until the spring time! But unfortunately since I'm in Illinois spring probably won't come until April...but that's okay, we're close enough!
So welcome March! I can't wait!
Not totally happy with this picture but it'll do. You can't really see well but I made my eyes look like little worlds...I even have the left eye as north america and south america and the right one is Africa and Europe (sorry Asia and Australia...I still love you!)

Totally recommend LARGE ON BLACK
TRF: I do love my eyes...they look like cat eyes sometimes (which works because my nickname is Kat). However, I still wish I had Asian eyes like Garry...I LOVE his eyes!
A quilt my sister commissioned for her friend's newborn baby boy :) The fabrics are from the Nature-ology collection by Studio E. She chose most of the fabrics and I think it came out very nicely! Especially loving the back.
