This statue of a boy "Springtime" was originally in Glasgow's Kelvingrove Park for an exhibition in 1949 but was moved subsequently to Glasgow Green (McPhun's Park portion).
The lighting was difficult here for this image. The former Templeton's Carpet Factory building can be seen in the background.
More details about the sculptor Thomas Clapperton (1879-1962) and the history of his work can be found via the link below:

The Templeton's Carpet Factory was built in 1892 and its architect was William Leiper (1839-1916).

I have not taken many pictures of Dragonflies yet with the new camera. Just playing with Lightroom and shadows. Almost took out the leaf at the bottom but decided to keep it in the picture.

After a good number of years now living in The Netherlands, we finally made it to Keukenhof. It's one of those things where you don't think about it much because its right there. It was a warm and sunny weekend in Amsterdam so we got a car and brought out a couple of underused lenses. As many of you know we love to get large structures and wide open spaces so the 35mm f/1.4 and the 105mm Micro f/2.8 don't come out of the bag much. Keukenhof and the Tulip fields made for a great opportunity to see what these toys can do.

I took this picture last year, and I've been saving it, waiting for Spring. Well, Spring is finally sprung!

It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! ~Mark Twain
